Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra Tickets

The RPO outdid themselves with this one. They made a fantastic celebratory concert that was accessible to folks who would not normally see a classical music concert and children. They chose lots of popular music to interspersed with the classical & original pieces. They made sure that this concert was also a piece for the eyes and included ballet dancers, physical theater, performers, and acrobats from LA. I love classical music, and I love going to see the RPO normally, but I would do not bring any of my family. Here the whole family had a fantastic time. Whoever planned this event should be given a giant raise and then find another event so the experience can be recreated. Bravo. Encore!

Venue was terrible, I understand the size was required for the crowd- but if you are 5'7"or taller - your knees hit the head of the person in the row in front of you - I did not understand how the fight people and juggling were a component of the Eclipse celebration- and it was not entertainment to me or our crowd Music and Laser was Fantastic - and inspired me to restart my RPO membership

A+++++ The RPO Eclipse Concert was amazing! The music, visual screen display, the Rochester City Ballet, the acrobats, something for everyone. Thank you for creating this event for Rochester folks to enjoy! Very well organized with the parking and having people enter the building.

Lived up to the "Once in a Lifetime"hype. Loved the pairing of the music with the acrobats, ballet , etc. It all jived really well with the space theme and screen behind the orchestra and chorus. Enjoyed having the three conductors with their different styles as well. It was worth the wait of over an hour to get in the door!

The RPO was phenomenal! The music was superb and the special effects were outstanding. The acrobats, ballet and singers were spectacular! It was a wonderful concert.

The music was lively and very appropriate. I loved the light show it really added to the excitement of the night. We are so fortunate to have the RPO here in Rochester

Tickets said show started at 7pm, but the sell-out crowd was still in the security lines at that time. Thank You! to whomever decided to delay the show until 7:30! Perfect volume, no amplification needed (except the maestro addressing the audience) ... but then, it IS a hockey arena (Blue Cross Arena in Rochester, NY). Additional performers from the ballet, aerialist and physical theatre groups were a perfect complement to the music. At my house the next day the actual eclipse was a huge disappointment due to heavy overcast skies. I wonder how many folks are wanting their $ back for the t-shirts they bought at the concert due to the image on the shirt being nowhere close to the real thing in the sky the next day?! LOL Only down side is Rochester Police Dept. could deploy more officers for traffic control before the show. For future events at this venue the wife and I might eat dinner nearby rather than at home before making the 1-hour trip so as to reduce the risk of missing the starting time.

Everything about this concert was wonderful: the program, the acrobats, the choir, the dancers, the lasers and digital backdrop. The only drawback was listening to the ushers speak throughout the concert at normal volume and my neighbor munch popcorn through the entire second half. (I managed not to implode.) Perhaps I should not have been expecting concert hall etiquette.

Fantastic music by the RPO!!! All acts on stage wonderful!!! Great way to celebrate the eclipse!!! RPO delivered “ear candy” to Rochester!!!
