Daytona Beach Symphony Society Tickets

The first act (pre-intermission) was an unusual and entertaining series of musical pieces for four pianists playing two pianos along with the orchestra. While some of the presentations seemed more like musical gymnastics, it was interesting and enjoyable. The second act involved a two pieces by an unfamiliar composer that were less entertaining, in part because they involved a Cello solo that was good but not great, and in part because the music was repetitive after a short time. The orchestra was technically and musically excellent; it would have been a lot more enjoyable if they had been permitted to play more familiar classical music.

The effort and quality of the performers was greatly diminished by the amateur attempt of the "closed captioning"debacle. The experience would have been enhanced without any attempt of the distracting garbled said cc. Our first attendance at The Peabody Auditorium was, to say the least, underwhelming.

This performance was FANTASTIC!!! It was literally breath-taking! Several times I caught myself holding my breath with tears welling up in my eyes! The pianist was AMAZING!!! I've never seen anyone like him, EVER! Their interpretation of Rhapsody in Blue was truly unforgettable!

The Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra did a fabulous job performing and selecting material for this concert. The mix of music old and new was very refreshing. The performance was outstanding. We enjoyed the venue the staff, other patrons and our location. The Peabody typically requires additional parking options. We were good as we arrived early but many complaints.

We cannot find enough good things to say about this incredible event. We found it by accident and drove out from Orlando on a Sunday. Easy, inexpensive parking, beautiful old theatre and dancers you can hardly believe. We will be back for more events at this venue!

Would have liked at least some symphony-type music!

My 1st time to the opera, ever. Absolutely fabulous! The orchestra was fantastic! As was the performance. Ill definitely go to more.

Last year I believe the same theatre company came and did an amazing performance of Rigoletto. It’s what made me buy the tickets for Madame Butterfly. The orchestra was a little out of tune and the opera didn’t keep my attention. Maybe because this was a different adaptation from the original. It was still an enjoyable night a kudos to the Peabody and their staff.

Wonderful acoustics. Set design was great. Performance was all it should be. The Peabody is one of my favorite venues.

They were absolutely wonderful. And to know the difficulties they’ve had to endure made their performance extremely special. The acoustics of the Peabody Auditorium are terrific. The only downside was having a fellow American sitting in front of me that was void of etiquette, playing with his cell phone, talking DURING THE PERFORMANCE. I was ashamed as an American to have that displayed to the Ukrainians. Clearly he didn’t want to be there. Please don’t insist a spouse or significant other attend the theater if they don’t want to be there. The rest of us have to endure their ignorance. Or at least have them review the auditorium’s rules of etiquette. There was a child at the concert and he displayed more control than the grown “man” in front of me.
