The Tap Dance Kid remake was a wonderful showcase of a diverse group of talented young performers who shined. It touched upon family expectations, culture and following your dreams. I can't wait to see how they continue to blossom and grow under Mr. Glover's tutelage.
The actors were so talented and gave it their all in this show! Bravo! Bravo! You can tell they were meant to be on that stage. They worked hard and it showed. They all have bright futures ahead of them and I look forward to seeing them in entertainment in the future. The dialogue, music, acting and dancing was amazing!
The singing, the acting, the dancing....it was all so amazing. These young ones are definitely Broadway bound (if they are not there already). The treat was when "The Tap Dance Kid" himself, Mr. Savion Glover, walked out on stage and shared his process with us about how he prepped the cast for the performance. LOVED it.
We first saw the Tap Dance Kid when Savion Glover was the star. We brought our young daughter to that performance, her first Broadway show. At NJPAC, we were blessed to be able to bring her oldest son, our 8 year old grandson, to the performance. He was captivated by the spirit, the talent, the energy, and Savion's opening remarks about how this performance came together in only 2 month, with his young students and mentees showing such dedication. I don't know if this will run again, and if it did, whether any other performance can match the spirit of this one in its unique context. But it will be well worth checking it out!
This production showcased the talents of a multi-ethnic group of our “Future “ !!! Kudos to Savion Glover for his brilliance and talent !!!
from the advertising and the picture of savion glover on the ad we thought he would be performing. it turned out he wasn't but directing. the performing kids were very talented and it was a good show.
The only thing i didn't like about this performance was that initially it appeared Savion Glover was somewhat going to be featured in this performance. However; the young people that put their hearts and souls into their performance were absolutely amazing and talent actors with such bright futures. Bravo!!!
What a wonderful TREAT!! I really didn’t know what to expect from a Tap Dancing Concert... im so glad I didn’t allow expectation to limit my experience. I so enjoyed watching Savion use his ENTIRE body in his art!! I appreciated watching his facial expressions... his emotions resonated throughout the theater! I Loved every minute of the show!
Fantastic as always!!! Such a treat to see such a musical genius collaborate with a band the way he does!
