Iowa All State Music Festival Tickets

These high school students were absolutely incredible! The orchestra, the choir, the band performed beautifully. A thoroughly enjoyable evening.

Please don’t host this during a home cyclone football game. Parking was impossible:(

These kids have a level of talent that is off the charts. The dedication the students and the faculty shines through. Just wish I had been able to get our tickets sooner.

Hated the parking limitations due to iowa state game the same night.

Appears seats can not be purchased that are worth the price. No availability and that was as soon as tickets were available. Sat 2 rows from the top. Visibility no. Sit with legs over the person's shoulders in front of you. Shoulder to shoulder. Which ant is my grandson? Query dropped over and over.

I totally enjoy the Annual Iowa All-State Musical Festival. When I have a family member that qualifies to play in the band we come as a family of 7-10 people so we never been able to get great seats as the only ones available are on the upper deck. I always am on Ticket Master immediately to get tickets and it still results that we are in the upper deck as the bottom sections are sold out. So we take our binoculars along. I have been to 6 of these concerts. This year was the very worst for trying to drive away from the event. The Iowa State Cyclone football game ended about 5-10 minutes after the concert. Because of the football game , All the All-State attendees had to park further than I have ever parked but I get that , it is a college game and our event was a High School event. With that said, our lot that we parked in only had 1 driveway to exit. We had hoped to "beat"the football rush after the game, so we were in our vehicle before the game was over. Unfortunately they did not let us exit our lot. And we had to sit in our cars and not move for nearly an 1 hour... from 10:15 pm to 11:11 pm. All the football fans in the other lots were cleared and allowed to leave before we could. We have a 4 hour drive to North west Iowa from Ames... so we didn't get home until 3 am. So not happy about that. Next time, we will park further away if we can, so we can avoid this football congestion, if the game is at the same time.

The concert was wonderful 10 out of 10! The parking situation was horrible and full of anxiety. So senseless.

When we arrived at parking lot it was an absolute nightmare. Cars were finally resorting to parking on the grass when possible. Once we located the right section and we were seated, it was a relief. We enjoyed the whole program.

The performances were EXTRAORDINARY! What a talented group of high schoolers! The Hilton Coliseum, unfortunately, was terrible. Not sure who has chosen to continue hosting the All-State event here, but the acoustics are terrible, and it is NOT a "friendly"place for those who have a hard time with steps/stairs. In addition, it is difficult to hear the performances when you are sitting near the top of the upper level due to the loudness of the ventilation system. I'm not even going to start on the parking situation due to the concurring football game...

kids are great, the talent is great. That being said, the adults waste to much time with awards for themselves which makes the concert way to long. Also, Hilton sucks. Not sure where else you could put this event, but about any place would have to better than Hilton.
