This depiction of a Christmas Carol is very impressive! From the costumes and backdrops to the dancing and choreography. The show is so unique and without a doubt puts you in the Christmas Spirit! The Fezziwig Party is my favorite scene - lively and entertaining. We were clapping along and laughing at the witty interactions. It is our family tradition and we will for sure be back next year!
It was our family's first time seeing this show, and it was unforgettable. Very creative interpretation of a familiar story. Loved the narration, the costumes, the choreography--the whole show. My entire family loved it!
This show wasn't crowded, which is a shame as the Ulster Ballet Company did a LOVELY job!! I took my son and God daughter (both 13) and they enjoyed it very much. The costumes were very well done and the performance fantastic!
The costumes, characters, choreography, music, scenery was AWESOME!!! This was my second year and I'm going again. I have to admit, before this show, I was not a fan of ballet. But now I am.
If you want to build lasting memories with your family, if you want to support the local arts, if you want an excuse to wear those heels that are getting dusty in the back of your closet, head to UPAC, year after year, for this wonderful show. It is one of the best ways to start the Christmas Season! The costuming was vibrant and beautiful, the backdrops were very impressive, but oh, the dancers! The dancing and musical numbers were so.......BRAVO! An entertaining, warm, lively, and touching rendition of Scrooge.....Thank you UPAC!
Too much taped voice, intro was very boring if with taped voice for first ten minutes, not enough pizazz. Won't go back.
Although the performance was great and the costumes , actresses and actors were amazing and vibrant , I was extremely disappointed that the entire play was narrated and acted out in motion . I wasn't expecting this. This was my kids first play and my son fell asleep half way through it . I was saddened because he was so excited and in towards the middle told me he wanted to go. This wasn't the reaction I was looking for from their first experience going to a play.
This is my 4th year in a row attending and I would not dream of missing it! The talent is so great! I have been bringing my grand daughter since she was 5 and it is exciting to see her enjoyment grow each year. I only wish it were more than 1 time a year!
I was expecting a play and was surprised by a ballet. It would have been great if the dancers spoke their lines.
The show was excellent. We enjoyed it very much and it was a nice story that we always enjoy.
