Up close and personal

What an amazing experience to see Travis so up close. It felt like a private show. Loved hearing the new and old music. Looking forward to seeing them in February.
I was really excited about this show as I'd seen Fran & Andy do an acoustic set back in 2009, but this one wasn't nearly as good. They played for just an hour which is not much for an expensive ticket. And the place was so packed, people were spilling out past the double-doors into the bar area. They clearly oversold this show. I know the risks of a small venue with a popular band as a short person, but I could barely move and couldn't see them at all. It was still lovely to hear them and I like that Fran likes to talk to us and give background to his songs but this was just a bit disappointing. I'll still go see them whenever they play but maybe I will reconsider if they decide to play such tiny venues.
I have been a fan since the late ‘90s and seeing them live and meeting them was one of the happiest days of my life! They are always so sincere and nice and of course, their music is just cherry on top! They always give their best like it is the last show they will ever have. Can’t wait for them to come back to the US!
We were visiting DC from the UK and, when looking for things to do, saw that Travis were playing at the 9:30 Club. We knew nothing about the club but, as tickets cost $45 each, we thought we would give it a go. The club is quite an intimate space which we liked. We stayed on the balcony and appreciated that it was stepped to allow better viewing. Facilities were generally good (no queueing for the loos). We did not try the food, but it looked ok. There was a good selection of beers, but they were pretty expensive at $10 each. We felt safe and not crowded out. Overall, it was a great experience, and I would recommend the club to visiting Brits.
Travis was so great live. Super energetic, great banter in between songs, fantastic sound. Had a great time thank you !
Without exaggeration, this was one of the greatest shows I have attended. We had a few questions ahead of the show and the 9:30 Club was very accommodating and friendly - excellent customer service. The show itself was incredible. Travis was entertaining, engaged with the crowd, and sounded great. Way to close out the tour!
Wow! What a night. An amazing gig from an amazing band. Thank you x x x
I'd been waiting for years for Travis to come to the States, and they didn't disappoint! I actually traveled from the Orlando area up to D.C. just to see them. For such a generally melodic and mellow band, they were extremely energetic and some of those songs were really heavy! Fran Healy was a certified rock stary - charming, funny, sentimental, entertaining, and so genuinely connected to the music and crowd that it was impossible to take your eyes off of him... until you remembered that the guitar parts and tones were insane, Dougie on bass is solid as a rock and oozes confidence, and the drums anchor everything beautifully. I can't wait to see them again, and this venue looked and sounded amazing.
The band was incredible and the show was just marvelous. So terrific to see the energy and the music was so great. Enjoyed seeing them live after so many years not touring. Definitely worth the wait
First time seeing Travis and I regret that I haven’t seen them before. I can’t wait for them to return to DC. Amazing show and amazing crowd. These lads brought back a lot of memories :) Thank you!!!
