Squeeze Tickets

They sounded great and gave a great performance! We loved the show and had a wonderful time!

These old guys were bad ass. We saw them in the 80’s and they were even better now! The members of Squeeze are VERY talented musicians. They are masters of their instruments. And…they are still writing new stuff!!

This is the second year in a row I've seen Squeeze and I will keep buying tickets to see them as long as they are touring. The band sounds great and played all their hits which, as a fan, is what you want. They did at least one if not two new songs and they were good too. DPAC was a great venue to see them in as there really is no bad seat and the sound system was great. Last year I saw them with the Psychedelic Furs (who were also great,) and this time I was excited to see Boy George who was touring with them. Unfortunately, I have to say, I was underwhelmed with Boy George. While Squeeze was high energy and every band member seemed like they were having fun and loved performing, Boy George seemed like he was going through the motions and was there for the paycheck. There were many (at least 30-40) people who left during his set - I started to feel bad for him as it started to become very obvious and noticeable. He played a number of covers and only one of them (Purple Rain) was good. He destroyed a classic and beloved Bread song (Everything I Own) by making it into a reggae version, and he did a weird mash up of the Stones You Can't Always Get What You Want and Lou Reed's Walk on the Wild Side. He also ruined one of his biggest hits, "Do You Really Want to Hurt Me"by changing the whole arrangement of it. I thought his best numbers were Church of a Poisoned Mind and the Crying Game. It also didn't help that he was very hard to hear clearly. I was happy I knew a lot of the songs he sang because the ones I didn't, I was had so much trouble making out what was actually being sung, and didn't have that issue at all with Squeeze so I know it wasn't the DPAC's sound system. I would have preferred another hour of Squeeze performing than seeing Boy George. I am hoping that if Squeeze tours again next year, they will partner up with act, but I will see them either way. They were my favorite alternative/New Wave band in the 80's and they remain one of my favorite bands today. If they come near your city, buy your tickets!

Well I really came to the concert to see BOY GEORGE I thought the music for Squeeze was too loud and unable to appreciate the singing Marjorie

Squeeze gave an excellent performance, going through their catalog from the late 70s to the present. The band was tight, with impeccable vocals and harmonies. Squeeze is still one of the best bands in rock and roll.

Venue was great..intimate and accessible. Band was perfection. I entered a time warp, right back to 1983. Witnessed some incredible musical talent on that stage. Best night. Thank you Squeeze for existing.

I have loved Squeeze and Boy George for over 40 years. It has been a dream of mine to see Squeeze and they were amazing. They played tons of songs and rocked it out! It was great!!! It was better than I imagined. Thank you so much!

They were incredible! The venue is lovely and the sound quality was great - terrific visibility for a short person like me to see the stage :). The drinks were CRAZY expensive *gah* just be prepared for that. Otherwise eveything was wonderful and I'd see a concert in this Central Park Theater any time!

The acoustics in the building are the best I’ve heard in any arena I’ve ever been in, and I’ve been a lot. Squeeze and Boy George are amazing live and need to come back to DPAC soon!
