Skate America Tickets

I booked my trip with JMC Getaways, who handled our hotel, car rental and airfare. I have such a passion for figure skating and I was happy that JMC Getaways was able to handle all details of our stay.

We went to Skate America for the kick off of figure skating season. The event was well Run and arena is very easy to get in and out of. It is a smaller event than Nationals but that was nice in that it was very easy to walk around and get to your seat. I took one star off because the arena was vey cold. We have been to many skating events and this arena was colder than it should be (even wearing a winter coat).

My fiancé and I randomly saw the replays of Skate America on Peacock and got to watching. Instantly became obsessed. Booked tickets that night for the show the next day and we ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT! It was sooo much fun!

After growing up watching figure skating on tv, I finally got to see it in person, and I was blown away. The seats were comfortable, music was at a great volume, and restrooms were clean. I also appreciated how the audience was so well-behaved. (How sad that I feel the need to point out how great that is in comparison to places and events I usually go to...) My only complaints were that the concessions ran out of coffee and hot chocolate very early on. Since it was (understandably, of course) so cold near the ice, having a hot chocolate or coffee instead of all the other cold drink offerings would've been nice. Also, there were some railings that made it nearly impossible to see some parts of the rink from ours seats in section 118 row J.

We have admired olympic skaters on television, and wanted to take this opportunity to see quality skaters in person. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience. some of the skaters were theatrical and entertaining, and some were unbelievably athletic and artistic. I think you will enjoy the experience no matter how familiar you are with figure skating. One practical note, if you are going to any event at a skating arena - TAKE A COAT!

I would recommend going to this Spectacular if it comes back to the area again. It was a good time. It did seem like some of the skaters were checked out and I understand that given they had already competed and Sunday night was basically exhibition. The venue and seats were great and all employees we engaged with were super helpful and very nice. Kudos to them!!!!

I have been attending Skate America events for years along with US Figure Skating Championships. This by far was the worst run, due to the lack of knowledge of the event staff. Not only did they allow people to enter the arena during a skaters competitive program, they would talk and block our view showing people where their seats were located. I have photos of my blocked very during the event. Very disappointed. I live in Houston, TX & would rather have flown to another city to enjoy the event more. Please don't bring a grand Prix competition back to Allen, TX
