Dunn Burns Hot in Hinckley!
by Ten12Street on 12/12/13Grand Casino Hinckley Event Center - HinckleyThe concert opened with “Play Something Country” and, with Ronnie providing story-intros, included “Cowgirls Don’t Cry”, “How Far to Waco”, “My Maria”, “Neon Moon”, “Honky-Tonk Stomp”, a new tune “Tattoos and Pick-Up Trucks”, plus the song that brought the loudest reception, “You Don’t Know Me”. Encore tunes were “Cost of Living”, “Boot Scootin’ Boogie”, and, “Bleed Red”. Ronnie encouraged people to dance in the space near the stage. The area soon filled with young ladies taking pictures. The venue, containing three seating sections, is on the “small” size but the closeness of performer to audience provides the opportunity for reconnecting with people that Ronnie says he desires. I think he’d be perfectly happy singing at an old fashioned hoe-down in someone’s faded red barn.
