With a big voice Maggie Rose can rock and sing softer songs. It was a good mix of music. The Wonderbar Venue allows you to get up close or standback and the sound for this show was very good.
We have seen Maggie and her wonderful band play many time over the past 5 years. Her songs are better with each album and her voice is AMAZING. The performance is energetic and sucks the audience in for the entire show. She even went acoustic fir one song which was perfect! Highly recommend seeing Maggie Rose in person...and she is a very sweet caring person on top of the amazing performances.

I've been to so many concerts over the years... Newport Folk Festival every year, and so many others. Maggie Rose has one of the best voices I've ever heard live. She is effortless yet powerful. Probably the only other voice I've heard that's as powerful as hers is Florence (from the F & the Machine). Maggie Rose is one of the rare performers who sounds better live than she does on her album.... because she's THAT good! doesn't need retouching to hit the notes.... or whatever production work is typically done on albums. I brought a few friends who have loved going to live shows their whole life, and they couldn't believe how talented and tight her band is. They have such a great synergy. I feel lucky to be able to see someone of her caliber live!
Maggie Rose puts on a great live show. She’s got a powerful voice, has great stage presence, and her band kicks ass as well. She’s not-to-be missed!!
Her voice is full of soul. My friend and I were so impressed by her live performance. Very few artists can sound better live than on a recorded soundtrack. If she had played at a venue that went until midnight I wouldve stayed for the whole thing.
I saw Maggie at the Brighton Music Hall in Boston. It was one of the BEST concerts I have ever been to. As an earlier reviewer wrote, this woman is a Star!! I went to BMH because I saw her a week earlier in Fall River and was blown away by her talent. Her vocals are up there with the Greats IMO. Her soulful, bluesy sound is such a joy to listen to - especially in concert. This woman should have a bunch of Grammy's to her name! Hopefully, that is going to change. I know they are different artists in terms of style, but I felt like I was experiencing how people must have felt when they were seeing Streisand, Aretha or some of the other greats performing before their careers exploded. I hope that happens to Maggie! Run, do not walk to see her in concert!!
A friend and I saw Maggie in Fall River at a place called The Narrows. I'd heard her song Fake Flowers on WMVY radio this summer and love it. Her concert at The Narrows blew me away! She has a spectacular voice and her range is amazing. Seeing that level of talent in a place like The Narrows is such a gift. I knew she was playing a week later in Boston at Brighton Music Hall. I bought tickets so my husband could experience her concert. He loved her. You cannot help but be blown away by her talent! Her band is also phenomenal. The whole experience of seeing her live was incredibly memorable and such a joy. This is why I love music so much! Thanks Maggie and your band for two wonderful nights of wonderful music in MA!
