Third time seeing Lori, never saw Brandy. Hopefully taking my 29 yo daughter ( whose also seen Lori 3 or 4 times) Wilbur is GREAT venue
I went to see Brandy Clark - I had never heard of Lori McKenna - but I thought Lori was very good. Brandy Clark was outstanding - sounds as good or better than her recordings - so that says it all. The venue was cramped - I was down in front and the cafe style seats were tough to sit in with people crammed in all around you. The guy in front of me was texting the entire time and got up 3x during the show which meant our entire section had to stand and move out of the way each time. Even with this the show was fantastic - Brandy Clark's well written/crafted songs sounded beautiful -
Divine voices, venue, ladies, music, evening….. Lori is a national treasure and Brandy is the one to watch……
The concert was excellent! The musicians captured the audience with their stories and performances. I was so glad to attend the concert. I travelled from Newfoundland Canada to see the concert and hope to attend another one of their concerts if they come to Canada. They were all excellent performers. It was a pleasure to attend your performances.
We traveled to Nashville from Houston, and we simply LOVED the show!! I really liked that Lori talked between songs connecting with the audience. It was one of the best shows I've ever attended. I wished I could have gone to the shows in Texas too, but I was out of the country otherwise I would have made them a must!!! Can't wait to see her again.
Lori McKenna and Brandy Clark were excellent performers--their writing, playing, singing, and storytelling delighted my soul. Thank you!
Both artists talked to much. Should have played more music. Wish I could get a refund.
Only suggestion would have been to have the merch room open during that hour between entry to the venue and opening of doors to stage. Then having the artists stay afterwards to sign CDs would have been the great. But the music, venue, staff were fantastic.
McKenna is a first class act with a beautiful voice and wonderful lyrics. Unfortunately on this evening it could not be fully appreciated as the sound system was too loud or too mushy with the net effect being that it was a challenge to decipher her brilliant lyrics on too many songs.
As always, Lori McKenna put on a great show! She is authentic and down to earth. She played the songs from the Bittertown record along with more recent songs. She is an incredible songwriter and performer. I never miss an opportunity to see her. We weren't familiar with her opening act but we did enjoy Hailey Whitters. the venue was set up with chairs this time (which i prefer). we had opted for the preferred seating with a small table. we had a order of the S'mores which was quite tasty. The staff was great and handled a difficult customer well.
