The Joffrey Ballet performed three dances of about 25 minutes each, with two intermissions. While some of the moves were those found in traditional ballets, most were more unusual. Sometimes the dancers were in synch, but often multiple dances were going on simultaneously. The precision was incredible. The costumes were also different from the traditional.
The choreography of the final dance was fascinating and the performance amazing. The dance was introduced with a video of the troupe in their Chicago studio, then dancing around the city, both narrated by various dancers, before raising the curtain to dance live on stage.
I recommend this show to everyone, not only ballet fans.
