One of the best Christmas entertainment we have experienced.Excellant variety,comedy,and musical lineup.Adding Zachary Richard was a real treat for a true Louisiana native. We'll be back next year.
My son and I have loved this show. We used to go to the CAC when it first started. In that space, everyone really felt a part of the performance, and it was so much fun. We were in the center balcony at the Orpheum this time and felt like we were watching it remotely. We had four calling birds in costume standing up and singing loudly behind us - my son shouted for attention to them - but Ms. Owens never looked up. Also, the sound system was not great, a surprise in a theatre like this. The show benefits from a more intimate environment, like the CAC theatre.
A great review of New Orleans’ best. Judith Owen is a great ringmaster and what a great ring to master. Wonderful jazzy music, great performances, and the John Goodman/Helen Gillette turn on Twas The Night Before Christmas was outstanding! Can’t wait for next year! Bravo!
The show is filled with humor, great music and individual artists who impress with their many talents and skills. It is an annual Christmas holiday tradition well worth seeing.
It was a very entertaining Variety Show... I got to see a lot of very talented people, and all for a good cause.
A wonderful experience, with performances that kept me smiling the whole time. The venue was fabulous. I plan to attend again next year. Thank you !
i’ve seen the dane show 4 times in 3 different venues. i don’t care for it at the orpheum. it’s too big and the acoustics were oddly horrible in the balcony. you could hear the music fine but the delightful banter from the host, which is already difficult to understand (due to the accent and the under the breath comments) was completely unintelligible from our seats. i hope it goes back to a more intimate venue in the future.
What a great Christmas show!!. So much talent in one place Judith is the bomb.
Only thing missing was Harry. And a program or listing somewhere, anywhere, of the names of people involved. Too many to track and I want to follow up on most of them. Dizzying. Or was that the booze?
He's a multitalented performer and political savant.
