After deciding on what to do on a 1st date,,, the decision was completely spontaneous. It was both our first time at this venue in Portsmouth where we stayed for the weknd. The group had high energy and funky-soul which allowed us n the crowd to thrive on,,,,it was a Grrrr’eat….. night all around !

The venue is beyond expectation and the price for the entertainment could not be beat. Even though our seats were in the bar section, the sound quality was fantastic. Didn't care about the obstructed view because the big monitors showed the whole show. The food and service were also top notch and I'm already looking to go to my next few shows.

The food was delicious and not a bad seat in the house. Funky Dawgs….so talented and fun. Couldn’t stop dancing and smiling with every song. You can tell they love to perform and all the way home we listened to them on YouTube talking about how we will see them again and again!
Honk Fest at Jimmy's

But I should add that, in addition to get in the Jimmy's crowd on their feet, the funky dogs are individually excellent musicians wrapped in a very tight New Orleans style street band. In my opinion, these guys are as good as it gets.... I'd like to see a showdown with them versus Trombone Shorty!
