From Ashes to New In Concert
When Matt Brandyberry was growing up, he had designs on being a rapper, but he also played in a rock band. Years later, when the vocalist began writing music and seized the opportunity to start his own group, he decided to combine both of these talents. The resulting band, From Ashes to New, has quickly become one of hard rock's leading lights, largely due to their savvy combination of influences.?
The band's two albums — 2016's 'Day One' and 2018's 'The Future' — boast Linkin Park-esque nu-metal with hip-hop-influenced vocals and dizzying electronic textures, as well as moments hewing toward more straightforward rock 'n' roll with blazing guitars and urgent tempos. The results are contemporary-sounding and fresh, which no doubt explains why the band has enjoyed chart success. The 2015 single "Through It All" peaked at No. 6 on Billboard's Mainstream Rock chart, while "Crazy" landed at No. 3 on the same chart in July 2018.
Brandyberry founded From Ashes to New in 2013 with other musicians from the Lancaster, Pennsylvania, music scene. Although the band's lineup has shifted over the years, the quartet today has settled into a confident groove, thanks in no small part to the singer's main vocal foil, Danny Case, who alternates between melodic singing and guttural growls.
Live, From Ashes to New's double-vocalist approach takes center stage. In fact, the two men stand up front, bark out their vocals with confidence, and serve as anchors for the hard-charging instrumentalists.?
In 2018, the band teamed up with Bad Wolves for the What's In Your Head tour, and was also one of the openers on the Breaking Benjamin and Five Finger Death Punch co-headlining arena tour. From Ashes to New more than held their own, which puts the band in a great position to expand their fan base and continue to grow.
Such an amazing concert! From Ashes to New put on awesome show. I can’t wait to see them again!
What a great show and all the bands were amazing. Elijah was a great way to start off the event and they put on a great show!!! Phyx with the teen drummer was really good!! Ekoh a local band, in Vegas was really good and would definitely see them again. Point North was good. From Ashes to New was amazing and a great way to end the event!!
Awesome lineup. All 5 bands really brought the energy. Been a longtime fan of From Ashes to New and seen them couple of times and the rest of the bands were a first but did not disappoint.
Best line up! Hope they team up with Ekoh and Phix again next and come back to Cali! Keep rocking it guys!
Not good with leaving reviews, as I hardly ever, but this show was one of the BEST concerts I've been to. The vibes and energy were immaculate, unlike anything I've ever experienced. It's the type of experience where you feel it's so good to be alive and that life is so beautiful. Big thanks to every artist that played, I love each and every one of you??
Elija, Phix, Ekoh, Point North, and Ashes to New were absolutely amazing. What a show and message. 2nd to last show of the tour and the bands energy was amazing. So glad I went to this event. Will definitely plan on seeing all these artists again!!!!!
From Ashes to New will always be one of my favorite bands to see in concert. Thier energy and appreciation of their fans is unbelievable. Ekoh was outstanding, as usual and Point North, Phix and Elijah brought thier A game for sure. I definitely would see this line up again and can't wait for the next round.
Had a great time, all bands were amazing and had great messages to share. This was one of my favorite shows for sure, I hope to see them again!!
Venue was so awesome-small and not a bad seat in the house. The main band was lip singing as I could notice. Prior opening bands killed it tho!
This show was so amazing and had the best energy! All of the artists put on fantastic shows and I loved the I reaction between the artist in each of their sets.
