DENZEL CURRY IN CONCERT:
It's been a busy few years for Denzel Curry. Since 2013 the rising rapper has released two albums and a double EP, garnered shout-outs from Earl Sweatshirt and the Odd Future crew, and graced the cover of XXL as a member of the hallowed hip hop mag's coveted 2016 Freshman Class. The buzz is well-deserved – Curry's hard-nosed lyrics and aggressive flow have been likened to Tupac Shakur, and he makes good on the comparison at his uncompromising live shows with plenty of swagger and attitude. Taking the stage in stylish streetwear rocking a head full of tight-knit dreads, Curry gets crowds bouncing with bass-heavy bangers like "Threatz" and "Ultimate." His dense verses and trap-inspired beats hit extra hard, and ticket buyers just can't get enough of the raucous party he brings to stage.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Carol City, FL-born Denzel Curry started writing poetry in elementary school before moving on to rapping in the sixth grade. He cut his teeth participating in rap battles at the local Boys & Girls Club, and by the time he was in high school he was already working on his debut album. Following a trio of mixtapes released in the early '10s, Curry put the finishing touches on his long-incubated full-length debut, 2013's Nostalgia 64. The record was an underground hit, earning praise from critics and drawing Curry out for extensive touring, stopping at the likes of The Fillmore in Philadelphia. He followed up in 2015 with the double EP 32 Zel/Planet Shrooms, and in 2016 he dropped his highly anticipated sophomore LP Imperial. The album featured guest appearances from big guns like Rick Ross and Joey Badass, cementing Curry's place among hip hop's top brass and drumming up major excitement for his next round on the road.?

Face melted off in Tampa. Sdotbraddy and Allen Kingdom opened.
saw him in STL for the MMESYF Tour. He put so much energy into the songs and even getting to know the crowd. he also brought out Smino as a special guest which is one of my favorite artists also. In other words, he really cares about his audience and will not disappoint
First time ever listening to anything Denzel related and it was incredible. Absolutely passion-filled and energetic down to the final second. Also got to watch Redveil perform live for the first time and that was just as incredible. An experience I won't ever forget.
I really enjoyed the show and Denzel's energy was incredible and it was one of the best times I've ever had at a concert. My only ask would just be that the openers weren't there as long because it took till 10:30 for Denzel to come out. I would rather there be openers than nobody which was fine because that's probably why it took so long, but there was clearly an energy in the room that people were tired of waiting. Once Denzel came out the show was great so I still say 5/5 stars but that was my only gripe. Oh my shirt also came with a hole in the sleeve, which was 45 dollars so come on.
Denzel was everything I expected and more, fire performer, must see live
The staff were very professional and the venue was set up well for a concert.
I bought two tickets for “premium” seats at the Fillmore in Philadelphia. I paid almost $300 for both. Once my fiancé and I arrived at our seats, we found a stack of huge speakers in our view. These speakers totally blocked our view of the stage. A reasonable person could ask - why would a business sell “premium” tickets at almost $150 a pop when the customers can’t even see the stage. You know why? It then forces the customers to pay even more money to upgrade their seats so they can actually see the stage. After paying an extra $160, my fiancé and I could actually enjoy our show. Nothing like spending almost $500. So far after contacting Live Nation, they seem to not care whatsoever. No sympathy. The sad part is they will keep selling these tickets to more people.
I've only been to a handful of concerts in my life and this was the third rap concert i been to but this was hands down my favorite of them all. Denzel outside of the music was entertaining alone, he was hilarious and his vocal performances on the songs live were just as good as if he were to do them in the studio. I loved how his fast flows sounded live and i nearly lost my shoe when he played Ultimate cause everyone went crazy ??
Me and my homie went to our first concert & it was the zel concert and let me just say it was insane. Playthatboizay did this thing so did Redveil & Zel. The energy in there was just amazing and I never felt underwhelmed with any performance, everything was perfect. Love to Zel, Veil & Zay
