Dallas Wings History
The Dallas Wings are a professional women's basketball team in the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). The team previously played as the Detroit Shock from 1998 to 2009 and the Tulsa Shock from 2010 to 2015 before moving to Dallas in 2016. As the Detroit Shock, the franchise won three WNBA titles, in 2003, 2006 and 2008, and hosted Hall of Famers Nancy Lieberman and Lynette Woodard. Following their relocation, the Wings have qualified for five of eight postseasons and fielded eight All-Star selections as well as winners for Rookie of the Year and Most Improved Player.?
