BEST...SHOW...EVER! Thile's virtuosity on the mandolin is second to none, I will cherish the memory forever.
Been following Thile since early Nickel Creek. He never ceases to amaze. What a rare thoroughly entertaining talent. A true genius and master artist.
Chris Thile is my favorite musician of all time! His music has brought so much joy to my life. He can play with so many different musicians and their music is so gorgeous. He’s hysterically funny, brilliant and the best mandolin player you’ll ever see. I highly recommend catching one (or all!) of his shows!
Chris Thile was back in full form this week at the Bijou. He played with and without a microphone (I had a bit of a hard time hearing the unamplified segments.) I really enjoyed the all of the music from Laysongs to “Don’t Think Twice.” He had this audience eating out of his hand the whole time! Amythyst Kiah played first and was amazing; unfortunately the two did not play together at all.
Chris Thile put on a performance of sheer genius at The Whaling Church on August 15th in Edgartown, MA. The standing ovation Chris received before playing a note was well deserved as his virtuosity and creativity are of the highest border. It was indeed a tremendous night!
Too many notes. Please come back with the other goats.
If you know the music of Chris Thile then you know this music was delightful, smart lyrics, energy packed, never a disappointment. Unfortunately the venue policy on umbrellas left us with a damp entrance and a stolen umbrella afterward where we really got wet leaving the venue. Ponte Vedra concert hall you can do better, you must try to do better.
I've seen Chris Thile a few times and think he's an amazing mandolin player, but I was a little disappointed in this show. I wish the advertisements had indicated it would be more of a Christmas concert instead of a regular concert. My family and I are not Christian, so after a while, it felt like more of a religious experience, than a concert.
The venue was incredible and the show was just exquisite.
