3x-GRAMMY? Award Nominated Contemporary Jazz Fusion Band Acoustic Alchemy have been at the forefront of contemporary jazz for over three decades, even if the band's signature eclectic mix of styles has meant they have never comfortably fit snugly into any one genre.
?We've had a lot of labels over the years, at the start there were all these names flying around like New Adult Contemporary, New Age music, and then it became Smooth Jazz, but we've never really thought about ourselves as being in any one particular genre. We just make music we like.? Says Greg Carmichael, ?At the core it's always been about one simple concept: the sound of the nylon and steel guitars working together, but that leaves a lot of scope for exploring all sorts of musical ideas.?
Acoustic Alchemy has delivered 22 acclaimed albums over 30+ years. From their very first album 'Red Dust and Spanish Lace' released in 1987, to the current release 'Thirty Three and a Third', they have spent over three decades defining and refining the sound of instrumental Jazz with hits such as ?Mr. Chow?, ?Lazeez?, ?Flamoco Loco?, ?Catalina Kiss? and ?Jamaica Heartbeat?.
Not only critically acclaimed for their albums (including 3 GRAMMY? Nominations), Acoustic Alchemy have also built a reputation for being one of the most exciting live bands in the business. Their shows are a perfect combination of virtuosity, musicality and fun for the fans, featuring a dazzling array of musical genres but all the time keeping their signature acoustic guitar sound out front.

Just saw Agustic Alchemy this past Tuesday. Was my first time listening to them perform. And perform is an under statement. They were great. Really made me appreciate Jazz a whole lot more.... Would like to see them again.. When they are in town... We'll Done!!!!
Perfect mix of music and interaction with the crowd. The Ponte Vedra Concert Hall is the perfect small venue to enjoy a show. Could not be better!
Acoustic Alchemy was wonderful - enjoyed every minute of the show. I love Ponte Vedra Concert Hall - great venue.
Acoustic Alchemy, has always put on a great show....never disappoints! Saw them in NY in July and Ponte Vedra Fl. in Oct. Also prays going out to Greggs wife Jan.
We’ve seen the band a couple of times before and each time has been very entertaining. What talent!
Another homerun. Acoustic Alchemy knocked it out of the park!
First time at this venue for us. A very well organized event. Good sight lines and acoustics throughout the venue. Parking was a bit challenging but thats not on the theater. Looking forward to seeing a few more shows before the end of the year. The band was great as always.
Absolutely fantastic show. Vogel is a perfect venue with not a bad seat in the house. An intimate atmosphere where you feel like you’re in your living room listening to a private showing. And an even better performance by Acoustic Alchemy. You really appreciate the talent and artistry up close - very entertaining in person. If you’re a jazz lover they’re a must see!!
The band and the venue were both exceptional. I will definitely be back. Thank you!
