It was cool!
by Johnny Blaze on 10/3/23Gila River Resorts & Casinos - Vee Quiva - Laveen VillageI enjoyed the event and environment. Maybe offer a buffet or something to keep people in the room. Fights last for hours.

A mà me gustan Las Vegas disfrutó cada pelea hay orden y seguridad
We went to the fight and paid over $1300 a ticket in the VIP section only to get swindled. The area was over sold and on our tickets said we were getting seats. We couldn’t see anything and my father who I took couldn’t stand for that long since he had his knee recently replaced. The guy who resold the event was there and he was arguing with people because the event was over sold and over crowded. We immediately left since my father could not stand for that long. What a waste and I would have had thought Ticketmaster would have ways to avoid this.
Complimentary popcorn was nice. I love popcorn! The food was delicious also. The staff did not forget their guests for this event.
Plenty of seats at the MGM garden. Loads of screens so you didn't have to fight to get to the front. Alcohol prices weren't too expensive if you bought the deals. A great fight which helped. The only complaint would be MGM could have staffed up to exchange the pre booked tickets for the actual barcoded ones needed to enter the venue. Only 2 people dealing and it took a while to get them. Apart from that a great night
hopefully Mandalay Bay will come up with better set up for future pay per views
The crowd there was out of control. At the end of the fight, this girl yelled in my ear and almost started a fight. I wouldn't go there again.
The canelo v. GGG fight was great and once inside the venue was fine. It was the getting there that sucked. We were sent to three different box offices before getting to the right one. If you have been to the MGM you will know that is an long walk. We were not told about limitations of what we could take into the venue. Walked way back to the lobby to get a shirt and water. Got back and were told we couldn't bring the water inside...quickly drank it. Went to go back through security and this time was told no camera, had to take it back to bell desk...fought the crowd of drunks in swimsuits and came back only to be told this time that we could not bring in the bag from the gift shop. Thankfully, we were able to take the stuff out of the bag and go in. The staff were rude during each interaction. They could have told us all of the restrictions when they saw us carrying them at first. I have rarely seen such indifferernt, rude staff at a "resort". Seems more like a cattle feed lot.
A total waste of money. Venue claimed to have run out of tables and chairs for patrons yet would bring some out if you would pay additional money. The event was a first come first serve to be seated yet almost all the tables were claimed to be reserved. My husband and I ended up sitting on a concrete area. Not one server ever came to ask if we needed to place an order for food or drinks. The venue would've made so much money on food and drinks from us. Sadly the staff seemed overwhelmed, uncoordinated and profiling which customers they felt had the means to spend at their venue. Do not I repeat do not make the same mistake we did. We would've been better off paying for the PPV event and watching it from our phones in the hotel room.
It was a well executed fight on both fighters, the judge score cards was horrible but over all great event to attend.
