“Heymakers For hope” was a wonderful event held at the Fillmore. A significant amount of money was raised for cancer research, and everyone there, except perhaps some of those who lost their fights, had a great time. it was my first time to ever go to a boxing match, and I loved every second of it!
I enjoyed myself at this event, the entire set up was outstanding. I was understanding that is was a charity event but it felt like a professional bout, as a boxer myself I was taken back, what a stellar job.
The event was great. Great venue. Good seats. Wonderful fundraiser
Well planned and presented. Music was great as were the stories of all the participants
It takes a lot of courage to step inside a boxing ring, win or lose all those fighters are winners in my book. The night was very enjoyable and the folks that ran the event did a fantastic job.
It was such a well organized event, and had so much fun the entire time
The Liberty Bell Brawl sponsored by Haymakers for Hope was a fantastic experience. Our daughter was among 24 fighters that trained hard and raised thousands of dollars for those with cancer "fighting for their lives". From the very beginning it was clear that Haymakers for Hope was an extremely well run charitable organization. They provided constant support and guidance to the fighters. The purchase of tickets was straightforward and the venue was wonderful. As a mother I was a bit nervous about my daughter boxing but it was clear from the very beginning that the referees were there to assure the safety of all participants. Our friends that accompanied us to the fight remarked that this was the most entertaining fundraiser they had experienced. Haymakers for Hope deserves 10 stars for this event.
I feel Haymakers for Hope does an amazing job raising money for Cancer Care. Hopefully one day there will be a cure for the dreaded disease of Cancer and it will be eliminated. I get that this is a FIGHT for eradicating this hated disease. But, as far as the boxing matches, for me, there is a lot to be desired. For example, the last fight was a Split Decision and went to Blue......He keep holding the other boxer and when (RED) had his back turned BLUE pushed him. He absolutely showed a lack of sportsmanship.......and that was never mentioned. Yet when Red told the REF that Blue keep holding him, the REF reprimanded him for TALKING. So that put a blemish on my experience.
Loved everything about this event. The lights, the tables, the drinks, the music, the atmosphere in general was just amazing and I would definitely come again. I would even schedule a fight on a card here at this location since it’s so awesome.
