BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Hailing from the Bankhead neighborhood of Atlanta, Young Dro grew up steeped in the city's hip hop culture, witnessing the success of childhood friends like T.I. and Chris "Daddy Mac" Smith (one-half of Kris Kross) before making his own breakthrough with 2006 major label debut Best Thang Smokin'. Topping both the Top Rap Albums and the Top R&B/Hip Hop Albums charts, the record resulted in No. 1 single "Shoulder Lean (feat. T.I.)," which went on to be certified double platinum by the RIAA. Between 2006 and 2013, Dro went on to release an impressive 13 mixtapes, thrilling fans in late 2013 with his much-anticipated second album High Times.
