Pomp and circumstance for two storied Ivy League universities, secretary-of-state John Kerry, current New York Ranger/Harvard alumni Dominic Moore, hockey greats Mike Richter and Mark Messier. What a night
It was awesome watching Yale take on Harvard at MSG! The crowd was big and the energy was fantastic. Please make this an annual tradition - it will become a major event in no time!
This game was a "big deal" and was well supported by both teams and MSG!! Hope to go again next year. Keep the tickets similarly priced.
The seats were awesome, could see the whole game. Greeters were polite and very helpful. Would recommend this event and venue to visit.
The game was very good by both teams except for about 4 minutes early in the 2nd period when Yale scored 3 times in quick succession. Defensive lapses doomed H. For Harvard to hold on with a 1-1 tie for one period was surprising given Yale's ranking and status (tho apparently the two tied in December.) Harvard no doubt disappointed its fans also by not capitalizing on more of its power plays. Some Yale fans (seemed to be students) a few rows in front disappointed parts of the section where I was sitting by constant standing and sociailzing, and blocking views of the action - e.g., all three 2nd period Y goals. A couple of students (?) who looked underage were exceptionally rude, abusive and behaved as if drunk or high. Requests to sit down were ignored, then seemed to engender more intentional obstruction and harassment. [Drunken fans at Rangers games typically behave better, with some respect for neighbors in the seats.] Security finally escorted 2 or 3 out after the end of the game, much too late; MSG could have/should have taken care of this sooner, but ignored requests. Blue-suited official-looking young men with "Full Access" badges on lanyards, who seemed to know the difficult fans, contributed to obstructing view of the game as well.
It was really fun to see two most famous universities in rivalry.
Awesome event. Great environment. Big time college hockey with the definding national champs. I would definitely go again next year.
A classic rivalry in a world-class venue. We want to come back for this every year!
Great atmosphere - very entertaining hockey! From the stars before the game to a fast paced matchup of two huge rivals, I really recommend the event.
