Wale on Tour
There's only one Wale. Since arriving in 2006, he has consistently gone against the grain. An old school lyricist with new school energy, otherworldly hooks and a sense of irony tailormade for its own Seinfeld episode, he instantly set himself apart. 2008's inventive Mixtape About Nothing cemented him as a critical favorite and preceded the major label debut Attention Deficit in 2009. Bowing at #2 on the Billboard 200, the now-classic and gold-certified Ambition yielded the GRAMMY? Award-nominated platinum-selling "Lotus Flower Bomb." Two more blockbusters followed as The Gifted [2013] and The Album About Nothing [2015] both crashed the Billboard 200 at #1 back-to-back. Shine [2017] gave the world "My PYT," which is RIAA certified platinum, as Wale continued dropping heat. Along the way, Wale covered magazines such as Complex, Billboard, XXL and Vibe, and would receive honors at the BET Awards, BET HipHop Awards, Soul Train Awards and more. To date, Wale has achieved four platinum or multiplatinum singles, three gold singles and two gold albums. Wale continues to break ground with the release of 2019's critically-acclaimed Wow... That's Crazy, which includes #1 single "On Chill" featuring Jeremih. What's more, Wale has accumulated over 7 million monthly listeners on Spotify and has reached over half a billion channel views on YouTube.
Wale also made history as "the first rapper to open the State Of The Union," gracing the stage with an unforgettable performance before President Obama's final State Of The Union Address. A regular guest of the First Family, he participated in First Lady Michelle Obama's "Reach Higher" initiative for higher education as well. Expanding his cultural influence, Wale teamed up with Villa for a limited-edition line of sneakers. These included the Asics "Bottle Rocket," the Timberland "Gift Box Set" and the VILLA x Wale x ASIC Gel Lyte III "IC Champion." Wale's label imprint, Every Blue Moon, encompasses the scope of his creative vision with musicians, comedians and screenwriters under its umbrella.
Great concert. Wale put on a Great show and did an amazing job with getting the crowd involved. Can't wait until he comes back.
Love the venue. Had several waitresses at the bar to get drinks. Wale was able to interact personally with the crowd.
I truly enjoyed Wale. This was a great start to my birthday (pre celebration). I would definitely see him again.
Awesome show, Awesome energy, Awesome time!!!!!!!!
WALE was SOOOO GOOOOD!! Omg. He’s so deserving of more accolades, but I’m happy he’s getting the love he deserves for his gifts.
Loved that he engaged the crowd the whole time. Set list was on fire
This is my first time at the House of Blues, I enjoyed the experience and I will definitely be back. It's a smaller venue that gives an intimate feel and sitting in the balcony is definitely the preferred option. Wale gave a great concert, he was very engaging and interacted with the crowd.
I loved the venue and the whole show. Wale did an amazing job!
Worst concert I’ve ever attended in Houston. The opening acts were boring , The dj was djing longer than the acts , I forgot I was at a concert. I was told he had better opening acts in Memphis, but came to Houston with a wack line up. Wale came up super late it was long waiting periods between sets.
First, there was a long line to get into the venue because he was doing a Meet and Greet. The opening performances were just odd. I never even heard of those performers before. I expected a well known R&B singer to open for him at the least. The DJ performed over half of the concert since it took Wale over an hour to come out and the concert started 1 hour late. I couldn’t understand why Wale was so late since he was performing by himself with no band and the stage set up didn’t change. I literally walked out midway through his performance. I’m so disappointed since this was my first Wale concert and I’m a fan of his music.
Easy entry and great show. Wale was so engaging and performance was great. House of Blues always have great staff.
Wale is an amazing performer and lyricist. I really enjoyed the concert and was entertained. Absolutely loved it!!
You definitely get what you pay for. People were fighting before the show started. I have to move to the side of the stage because I was afraid I would get caught in the rowdy crowed…so I was not really able to see Wale perform. This was a scary concert experience. No offense to the Artist.
Third time seeing Wale and as long as he keeps touring I’ll keep showing up.
Not a bad seat in the house! Wonderful experience and would definitely return to this venue.
Wale put on an amazing show especially songs for his day ones…He is a very underrated artist. Talent on top of talent. I got a chance to meet Wale (Meet and Great) that was a great experience as well. I can’t wait for his album to drop for another tour…
I had such a great time! From my entrance to the end! Wale put on a great show, he came into the audience went up the stairs and everything! This was my 1st time doing GA SRO tickets & this was the way to go for sure!!!
This was such a great experience. I attended the meet and greet and he was very engaging. Answered many questions and took pictures with everyone. The performance was everything! However, I really wanted to hear "ambitious girl."But overall he ran all the hits and bangers!
Wale got hits on hits on hits, and deep cuts for days. Dope show!
Wale was super friendly! Do the meet & greet. Got a signed Vinyl & got to ask him a question. The show was incredible from start to finish. Great energy, will definitely go and see him again. Even jumped down and signed peoples stuff for another 30 minutes or so!! 5 stars all the way man cheers??????????
