South Carolina Gamecocks Women’s Basketball History
The South Carolina Gamecocks women’s basketball team is one of the most prestigious programs in the country. Legendary head Coach Dawn Staley has built a perennial powerhouse, making South Carolina one of the elite teams in women’s college basketball year after year. In her 17-year tenure, Staley has led the Gamecocks to 12 NCAA Tournaments, winning three of them. Additionally, South Carolina has won eight SEC regular season championships and eight SEC tournaments under Staley, and has appeared in eight Sweet Sixteens and five Final Fours. The Gamecocks went undefeated for the first time in school history en route to a national championship in 2023.

They have definitely upgraded the arena to a level comparable with NBA arenas and I love to see it! They do a great job of keeping the crowd entertained. Would definitely recommend going to a basketball game here!
