Rating: 5 out of 5by Anonymous on 6/5/13Best Buy Theater - New York Rating: 5 out of 5 Tomahawk Rawked!
by PattonGrl on 6/5/13Best Buy Theater - New YorkWhen you get a rare opportunity to see a supergroup of musicians featuring the best of bands like Faith No More, Mr Bungle, Jesus Lizard and Helmet in one of the best music venues in NYC then you'd be crazy not to go! Tomahawk was brilliant from beginning to end. The amazingly versatile Mike Patton always gives 200% when performing and fans will not be disappointed in the set list which featured all the favorites from past albums and the best of their newest album Oddfellows. Opening act Buke and Gase is really worth showing up early to hear. It's amazing how much sound this Brooklyn duo can produce and it's all good stuff!! From the bands to the venue to the overall vibe of the evening, it's gonna be hard to beat the fantastic night I had getting to hear the supertalented band Tomahawk!
Rating: 5 out of 5by Andi515 on 6/4/13Best Buy Theater - New York This band is incredible, there are no words for how fantastic they are and how honored I am to be in the presence of Mike Patton greatness!
Rating: 5 out of 5 Tomahawk can truly put on a loud and tight show!
by Prozac on 6/4/13Best Buy Theater - New YorkI've seen Tomahawk everytime they have performed on the NYC and all have been memorable. The band gets better with time. It's been roughly three years since they last performed here and the show on June 2nd 2013 might be thier last in a long time to come.
Rating: 4 out of 5 THWK delivers textbook show. MP Gettin a LittleGut
by WristLikeThis on 6/4/13Paradise Rock Club - BostonParadise is great if you are on the floor. Big pillars are annoying, security is juiced with hate meds , balcony sound is comparable to 320 kbps mp3 file. Tomahawk will NEVER fall flat, but the performance was a little academic for them. I loved it, but I wanted a little more danger. I know its not Patton's deal, the way FNM is, and he isn't spotlit...which is fine, but I merely loved it, I wasn't picking up my brains off the floor. Stanier was unbelievably having tempo issues on a few straight ahead rippers like Stone Letter and Rape This Day. Patton even hollered at him a few times. I couldnt believe he bobbled his stick at the beginning of Oddfellows. I like being reminded that my drum heroes are human. John was a real pleasure to be in the room with though, as was Duane , who flippin KILLED all night. There was obviously a major Lizard contingent in the room and Duane was feelin the love. Dunn was the beautiful Marty McFly he always is but I cant help missing Rutmanis' out of tempo bass humping. I gotta prop up his backup vox though, he's got , like Mike Mills level support going on. I never thought he was going to make it to his mic on time, but he apparently had a very short range teleport. I love these guys. Ipecac artists Buke and Gase are not to be missed in any capacity.....they were astonishing. And I can't describe their music without being stupid. RIYL: Goldfrapp, Robert Fripp, anything else with two p's and a silent q.
Rating: 5 out of 5by Muppetchile on 6/4/13Best Buy Theater - New York Best live band I've seen all year! So good to hear all the classics again live!
Rating: 5 out of 5by nirvanapixie on 6/4/13Best Buy Theater - New York I loved every minute of the show. The crowd was a let down to the band which was aired. I really admired the talents of both bands; great opening act of Burk and Gase- brooklyn based. The drummer from Tomahawk held my attention with his furious energy, and Paton never a bad thing to say about his innovative creativity. Man I wished it didn't have to end.

by DeathSkullHead on 6/4/13Best Buy Theater - New YorkThese boys can rock! The only thing I would never do is purchased the insurance for tickets, overpriced and useless.
Rating: 5 out of 5 Amazing show!
by Shapineapple on 6/3/13Paradise Rock Club - BostonMaybe I'm biased, since I'm a die-hard Mike Patton fan...but, I thought this show was absolutely amazing! It was my first time seeing him and he sure as hell didn't let me down!
