The Who’s Tommy is a rock musical with music and lyrics by Pete Townshend and a book by Townshend and Des McAnuff. Based on The Who’s 1969 rock opera Tommy, the musical tells the story of a young pinball genius coming of age in post-World War II London. The Who’s Tommy made its Broadway debut in March 1993, and ultimately took home five Tony Awards, four Drama Desk Awards and the GRAMMY for Best Musical Show Album. In March 2024, The Who’s Tommy will return to Broadway for the first time since its original run in a highly anticipated revival at the Nederlander Theatre.

Yes, I am a fan of The Who, but I took my two children who know very little of their music, and the three of us were blown away. The high-tech magical stage craft combined with incredible musicians, support this moving and powerful story. of transformation. Dancing , choreograph, and singing, were brilliant We had center seats in the orchestra, which certainly added to the experience., but the theater is small, intimate, and most seats look like good seats. This is an amazing play.
