The Roots Tickets

The evening was beautiful. The venue was perfect. Close enough to Boston that it didn’t pose any inconvenience . I was severely disappointed that The Roots did not offer merch for purchase. The Mezzanine lounge made up for that. The seating was great but did contain the usual late arriving suspects that caused repeated interruptions. And an overzealous MGM attendant. Black Thought is aging like fine wine, voice on point and on and par to having legendary rap status The band was awesome although I feel this time around they catered too much to the instruments and not enough of their original rap hits. Being the house band for Kimmel certainly shifted the audience dynamic and I feel that band status is why there was less of the original content. The night was stellar in terms of what The Roots presented although I did feel the opening acts didn’t have enough crossover material to accommodate this new audience. See you next year at the Roots picnic!

The Roots always put on an amazing show. They also highlighted some lesser-known groups on stage and as always, put on an amazing high energy fantastic performance. You're missing out if you've never seen them live.

That was the perfect grown man hip hop show. Whole band was on point. Black Thought was even better in real life. Digable Planets did there thing, and was cool to see such iconic group from my childhood. But was was Arrested Development electric.

It was an amazing show. The music, the sound, the lights and the vibe was fire. All the Groups were amazing. 10 out 10 for sure

I've been to over 50+ shows in my life. This show easily became my number number 3 of all time! Every band member put in their work. Guitar, keytar, sax, drummer, tuba, singers, trumpet. Wow! I felt privileged to be in the same room with such talented musicians. This is for any type of adult young and old. We were all on our feet. People moved from their seats to standing room only just so they could dance! This show is a 10 out of 10! I will see them again.

The Roots are the epitome of performance perfection. The weaving of Digable Planet & Arrested Development into the tapestry of the show was amazing...... ??

Great show. This was my 10th time seeing them. The addition of Arrested Development and Digable Planets add some flair to the show. It was great seeing the band playing with them. This show is a must see.

This was my 4th time seeing the group. They never disappoint!! Love they had Arrested Development and Digable Planets!!

I have never seen a music group open the show then have their opening acts come out, play with them, then come back out and rage and then have their opening acts come back out at the end of the show for each of them to do their most popular songs as a encore. I loved the format I loved how they did it. It was amazing. The Roots show was one of the best shows I've ever seen. Although I'm not surprised really cuz their band is super tight and they seem like amazing humans. My husband turned me onto them in the 90s. Arrested Development was also superb. They filled the whole state and I loved watching and listening to them. Their sound was full and right on. Digable Planets was also killer. Took me right back.
