A Fantastic Show
by Mike L on 9/26/24recordBar - Kansas CityIt was my first time seeing Record Company live. Interestingly, it was at The Record Bar. The sound was good where we were at. The band itself was ON. Very tight, energetic, and skilled.

THE RECORD COMPANY IN CONCERT:
LA-based blues rock outfit The Record Company has opened for everyone from B.B. King and Buddy Guy to Social Distortion and Grace Potter, but the band's acclaimed 2016 debut album Give It Back To You made clear what their loyal fans already knew: these guys were born to headline. Since the record's release the talented trio has topped Billboard's Adult Alternative Songs chart with their single "Off the Ground" and wowed on their first headlining tour with no-nonsense sets that put their impressive rock chops front and center. In concert they combine twangy slide guitar and driving distorted bass with elemental drumming that gives their songs serious rhythmic heft. Their palette is minimal, but it's the perfect foundation for singer and multi-instrumentalist Chris Vos, whose soulful voice and self-aware lyrics imbue the band's tunes with arresting emotional complexity. In the wake of their acclaimed debut The Record Company has wind in their sails, and fans can't help but get caught up in the excitement any time they kick out their bluesy brand of rock and roll.?

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
?
The Record Company formed in Los Angeles in 2011 and spent their early days writing and recording in the living room of bassist Alex Stiff. They self-released a few 7" singles and an EP of covers in 2012, including a version of The O'Jays' "Love Train" that was featured in a Coors Light commercial. TV placements on shows like USA's Suits and CBS's CSI: Crime Scene Investigation followed, and by 2014 they were performing at major festivals across the country and touring in support of legends like Brian Setzer and Trombone Shorty. Following a 2015 European tour in support of Blackberry Smoke, The Record Company made their full-length album debut with Give It Back To You. The record was a critical and commercial success, spawning the hit single "Off the Ground" and drumming up major excitement for their first headlining tour.

The Record Company was kick ass. I enjoy their music, just listening to their studio work. But their live performance was another level. High energy, hard charging show. An awesome power trio.
Got to meet Chris Voss and get his autograph. He's the bomb...he has a blast putting on a show. His energy is contagious!! Can't wait to see them again!
Incredibly talented musicians who have a terrific stage presence and got the crowd going. Their genuine kindness was evident in their personal connections to the crowd. One of our favorite shows! Don’t miss them when they return!!
TRC never disappoints. Awesome vibe, great set list. The Majestic staff is always awesome, too!
From the staff to the venue to the show itself - it was a PERFECT night!!!!! Seeing The Record Company perform live has been on my bucket list since I heard their song on 105.5 - Triple M FM in Madison WI. What a SHOW !@@@ The setlist could not have been better - starting with the first song - my all time favorite to the first encore - they NAILED the KINKS - they did it better !!!! Chris is such a talent and so passionate about what he does. The way he plays harmonica and gets the crowd rocking. Thanks for sharing the personal story and how cool that your family was there. They must be SO happy and proud. AIex and Marc have the perfect talents to compliment every song. I absolutely had the time of my life and the high is continuing 3 days later. Come back to Madison SOON !! We love The Record Company.
The Majestic is a great music venue Record Company is awesome live. We’ve seen them several times in WI and make a point to see them when we travel if it works out.
Non stop energetic rock n’roll with great sound and acoustics. Quite possibly THE best show I’ve seen in 40 years (since college silly days. Ok. Maybe my first Bonamassa show is an equal). I have not seen the Black Keys yet but this band will be hard to top.
The Record Company played an awesome show at Greenfield Lake. Perfect venue to see those talented guys!
I love The Record Company and was excited to hear that they were coming to Savannah. District Live is a great small venue and the band did not disappoint. They played great blend of the older music as well as songs from the new album. I hope they keep coming back here.
