The Dirty Dozen Brass Band Tickets

Phenomenal show, amazing band in a great venue! The bar was amazing, recommend this venue for amazing intimate shows!

Dirty Dozen Brass Band gave an excellent performance. Great music done right

A hot show on and off stage. Muscular New Orleans Brass Band music from seven guys with bodacious chops and outstanding improvising skills. They played their originals plus Dixieland classics. They really brought the party. A video wall behind the band played Mardi Gras parade footage, a juggler stood in the middle of the dance floor throwing LED lit clubs, an acrobat performed ribbon dancing and contortions on the balcony, and a stilt walker danced through the crowd most of the night. I wish the vocals had been a little clearer but still glad I came. Laissez les bons temps rouler!

It's was easy to get tickets on the phone a d not wasting paper

The sound guy had the volume up much louder than necessary-should have been 25% lower to not take from the joy of the event.. And we were in the back of the main floor right near the sound board. Similar situation occurred for Tommy Castro show several years ago when the bass drum volume was so darn loud every beat sent out a shuddering shock wave that pounded into the chest and hurt the eardrums and I had to leave during at least the last 70% of his show because it was not enjoyable at all-painful. I cannot imagine that anyone there truly wants the volume that high. Betty Lavette came on right after Castro and the volume was perfect. So it was perfect volume for Mavis and Shemekia a year later. The performances buy these folks were quite good and maybe the audience as a whole liked the many NOLA standard tunes that are heard a lot down there and many song lyrics and stanzas get a bit repetitious and drag on. I always enjoy a group that has mostly their own original tunes and styles. Mingo Fishtrap sure comes to mind from Bastille days about 3 years ago--and the Soul Rebels there and in NOLA during French Quarter Festival. Tab Benoit and Marc Broussard are located in NOLA and would be great. Victor Wainright and the Train. Chubby Carrier, Terrance Simien. Not from NOLA but down south Carolyn Wonderland and Nikki HIll would be a great double bill there. Keep an eye open for the California Honeydrops making a tour up this way. And Hamilton Loomis out of Galveston TX has one heckuva band and live show and would be great double bill with Ghost Town Blues Band from Memphis.

Loved this group. Will definitely follow their schedule so I can see them again!

Dirty Dozen Brass Band was great. New Orleans sound. Most of the band were in their60-70s Sound was to loud couldn't hear the lyrics. Funky Meters were terrible. A lot of noise. Sound was way to loud ear piercing. After 3 songs. Many people left. We followed about 10 minutes later. We have seen many concerts here but first time with extreme sound issues. A waste of $75

Having lived in New Orleans several times, I can say that there are some types of music that one cannot listen to while sitting in a theatre seat. These two bands play THAT kind of music. Loved the music but found it too difficult to sit still. I didn't want to block the view of those sitting behind but I have to say that the concert got much more enjoyable after we all stood up and danced around to the great beats!

Had a blast! The crowd was on their feet the ENTIRE time singing and dancing, great show!

The opening act for this show was The Record Company - great blues-influenced rock trio. Slide guitar, harmonica, great bass line. Terrific live - high energy, ton of sound, polished. Can't wait for them to headline and play a more extended set. Dirty Dozen was OK. Good tuba player with a wa-wa peddle kept the beat going.
