Hailing from Seattle, The Dip is an electrifying seven-piece ensemble that melds vintage rhythm and blues with classic pop storytelling. Acclaimed by KEXP as "one of the most exciting and joyous acts to emerge in recent years," the band features frontman Tom Eddy's compelling vocals over an effortlessly deep pocket and energetic melodies from the three-piece Honeynut Horns.?
Following the organic buzz of the 2015 debut, the band arrived on the international stage with their 2019 sophomore full-length, The Dip Delivers. Buoyed by the hit single "Sure Don't Miss You," the album was entirely recorded and mixed by the band in their own studio in Seattle - and has racked up over 50 million streams on Spotify alone, all via word of mouth and non-stop touring. An ambitious 2019 touring schedule took the band throughout North America (including several major festivals), Europe (supporting Durand Jones & the Indications), and Japan.
Now, the band will return to the road in 2022 with a full North American headline tour and a new label home, Dualtone Records, home of The Lumineers, Shakey Graves, Shovels & Rope, and more.?
The band's new single, "Paddle to the Stars," is out now on Dualtone, and a new album is in the works. Stay tuned!
