The B-52s Tickets

B52's came thru with their energizing big hits, captivating rhythms, enchanting vocals, and overall good vibes that made for a great Halloween theme show at the Riviera theater. This was the place to be on Halloween Saturday night in Chicago to be sure. House was a Rockin... Couldn't have picked a better venue than the Riv which preserves the opulence and charm of the surviving palace theaters, with the right mix of main floor general admission for those out for a good time with friends, and plenty of balcony assigned seats. Kudos to the crowd who were in great spirits, friendly, and conducted themselves with class. Makes for a fun enjoyable atmosphere and pleasure to interact with fellow music enthusiests, a special event enjoyed by all. 70's & 80's bands with original members still performing are not to be missed. A golden age of inspired artists, explosion of unique talents and music forms at every turn, all excelling in their niche spaces.... Wishing the Kate, Cindy, Fred good health and looking forward to seeing the B52s for years to come. Cheers~

I'm 72. I came upon the B-52s as a middle-aged man, and conceived such an affection for them, the Keith Strickland/Ricky Wilson soundscapes, the down-and-dirty killer vocals by Cindy, Fred and Kate. As those last three are 67, 73 and 77 respectively, I had the feeling going in this had the makings of a farewell of sorts. They didn't improvise much, except for "Love Shack", but they delivered to the tune of a 15-song one hour and a quarter set. In a way I was glad of the early hour, as I was looking at a long commute home to Annapolis by train and car. My principal beef is with The Anthem, beginning with the mediocre sound system that eliminated the nuances and hidden treasures of the music. I managed to get over the fact that I had to stand the whole night through, including the opening act by DJ Cummerbund (an often cheesy melange of pumpkins and skeletons on the video overhead). But the final insult, to me, and probably meaning I won't attend any function there again, was having to check the mask I wore for Halloween in the coat room "because it covered my face."

The B52’s were awesome, as always! We felt blessed that they chose to do a special show on Halloween here in DC at The Anthem. We’ve seen them many times; this was the 3rd time at The Anthem - perfect venue for them! We miss Keith and Ricky - but Kate, Cindy and Fred keep on rockin’! We love you! And we love The Anthem!

The B 52s put on fun and exciting concert. They are great up close and live. Also loved their graphics..

Second time I’ve seen the B-52s and they never disappoint! They are one of my all-time favorite bands from the 80’s

I’ve been enjoying the B-52s since their first album came out while I was in high school. Never had the chance to see them live until now. Definitely a bucket list item to check off. They sounded as good live as they did on their albums! The Anthem is a spectacular concert venue as well. Overall, my most favorite concert of all time!

I always have enjoyed the B52s. But especially at the Loveshack where love ?? rules. I also enjoyed the stage background scenery on Rock Lobster.

The B-52s gave a great performance , displaying their great musical talent with the opening act The Weeklings.Everyone enjoyed the opening act The music was very entertaining and everyone enjoyed the evenings performance.

For most of the performance, one singer was out of tune. It probably could have been a little better if the sound engineer had turned down her mike. I had to cover my ears at times. It was that bad. (Was seated in the upper balcony, if that makes a difference with sound issues.)
