A great way to enjoy a Friday evening - the team tries its hardest (and usually succeeds), the fans are loud and the temperature is not too warm. (They could turn down the volume a bit - your ears will suffer upon departing).
Very excellent games and great teams to watch in live
Great place to see the Redhawks! Sound is great and big screens make it easy to see all of the action
Enjoyed the game and sat in club with beer and pizza. Good way to watch game and Climate Pledge employees very nice. Enjoyed the event.
The game was fantastic. It was disappointing that there were not many concessions open for lunch.
Actual game play provided some welcome relief from the ear-splitting filler "music" and the incessant, over-loud jabber from the PA announcer. Perhaps I'm one of the few who actually likes to talk to my friends during pauses in the action--essentially impossible during this event. When the game you came to see is the sole calm and relaxing element of the presentation, something is fundamentally wrong, and totally backward for any sport. My final thought as I left was that the staff required to work Arena events like this one on a regular basis should be eligible to file Workman's Comp claims for hearing damage. Bring a dB meter to your next gig there, take photos or video, and make your case. However that may be, I know I'll never go to a sports event there again under current conditions.
Arena only holds 999 and it was full and the fans love their Redhawks. Good atmosphere. concessions left a little to be desired, but for that few of people i am sure its hard to have much. Would be nice if they sold beer. Thanks..
Just went the UW vs SU basketball game and it was one of the oddest games I have ever been to. I have been to quite a few games in Key arena (Sonics, Gonzaga, WSU) and there is usually pretty good energy there. Not the case for this game which was seemed more like a high school event. To start with Ticketmaster sold us, and about 18 other fans, seats that did not exist. The three rows in which we purchased seats can be moved in and out of the arena based on how many fans in wheelchairs may be attending the game. We were directed to go back to the box office and see if there were any seats available to the game. We were then told to call Ticketmaster and deal with them if we wanted any money back for their service fees and processing (which is always a nightmare). The game itself was rather odd too. After being told that the lower bowl was sold out it appeared to be a little less than half full. Most SU students were gone on break, only 4 members of their band was there and 1 cheerleader. The upper bowl areas were pretty much solid UW fans...making them the "home" teams. Despite this, SU never (not even once) would reply any play in which the Husky players were shown in a good light. No dunks, steals, blocks etc. I think if they want to promote it as a rivalry type game they will have to get over their insecurity and show highlights of the game - both for and against them.
Hard fought game with some thrilling 3 pointers, Slam Dunks and blocked shots.
