Really enjoyed the show and went with a friend who’s diving into this space. Really appreciated the folks who participated with Ramit and made the show awesome. We both took away questions to take back to our partners. Show was a little shorter than I expected but I’d definitely love to see Ramit live again.
It was really cool to see him talk to guests in person. However, due to the nature of inviting guests, the content probably varies greatly between shows. Also, since the guests have to talk on stage live with a time limit, I felt it's lacking in both depth and breadth. People who isn't familiar with his work could easily be confused by the goal of the conversation. I can tell the team tried their best to keep a balance and appeal to more audience, but it's really more of an event to experience his work in person than to actually learn new things.
It was so fun to see Ramit in person! He has such a way with people and his approach is so relaxed yet he knows so much, not just about money but also how to talk to people about their relationship with money and how important it is to have discussions about money on a regular basis in a fun and positive way - that is certainly not what I learned growing up! What a fresh new way to think about and interact with money - for myself and also with my partner. I went with my husband and was grateful that we both got to hear what Ramit had to say and observe him working with couples in real time. Excellent night and very worth my time and money!
I'm a Ramit fan! But I really expected more from the show - more about money spending and saving strategies like his show or book. It was not at all useful. And the content was way less considering the amount of money that was charged for the show. I wanted to hear Ramit more, and share more info, but that did not happen. I hope he sees and made edits to future shows.
If you love the podcast, the event was move of the same. I was hoping for a bigger experience in some way. I’m sure it’s not Ramit’s fault but the Seattle venue was dump (Neptune Theater) and the comedian that was the first act was very counter to Ramit’s messaging so a very weird combo for the audience. I would love to see Ramit be able to go deeper into material that didn’t seem recycled for his podcast in a live event
Loved seeing Ramit live, however, felt very underwhelmed. It was essentially watching a condensed version of a podcast with a couple live on stage and a bit of him speaking.
I expected more. I read the book. I have seen the Netflix series. I honestly believe he should have brought and interviewed 3 different types of incomes. I am meaning low class mid class and high class. My expectations were not meet. I wanted to learn more what banks, stocks, 401k, Roth, etc how be explains in his book. He did give a good show good funny parts. Would I come again I would really think about it. His book is worth reading and lots of learning. I am 35 and learning information he shares I didn’t know in my early years.
