event was fun to watch and very enjoyable. can't wait to go back next uear
Received emails telling me what time to arrive as the event started at 7pm. Well the event didn’t get started until 730pm. Then a 15 minute intermission that was way longer. Get your act together. DO Better
The venue was very accessible, the concessions were great, and the event was spectacular! I must have missed the merchandise vendor, however. This will be our go-to New Year’s Eve event for the foreseeable future.
I enjoy this event and have attended 3 different years. I’m glad they did away with the oily fire they used to ignite introducing the riders. The music choices were appropriate. I’m surprised more country music wasn’t picked to use like “Friends In Low Places”! The tequila cherry bucket drinks were pretty weak. Tasted like soda and little hint of cherry. I had 2 but never felt like drinking alcohol. I sat in upper section in first row and was pretty hot in that section compared to lower area. The talent of bull riders seemed much better this year. I felt the scoring was not consistent but I’m not experienced at scoring bull riders. All in all I had a good time.
The show was great the seats were small and the sound guy was terrible.
The rodeo was good, but too much wasted time in between. They auctioned off the riders and that took way too long...a person loses interest, and then right after the auction, they took an intermission, which they didn't need to take because the whole thing got drug out. The clown was great, had good jokes.
The event was overall a good time, however the auction they do before the rides takes too long and ruined the flow of the event. The crowd lost interest while the auction was going on and never really came back.
The only complaint was the sound. No one could understand anything that the announcer said! Sound was way too loud and echoed and reverberated.
It was really something new to go see in Topeka, we all needed this for entertainment. The only thing that would have made this was better, was the sound control. The speakers were so loud, you actually couldn't understand what the announcer was saying, he kept asking the crowd questions and no one answered as we couldn't understand him. I know one complaint about Landon arena always was the acoustic's , otherwise the event was fantastic, would definitely go again.
