Formed in New Delhi around 2010 by Suryakant Sawhney, Peter Cat Recording Co. is a group that’s mutated over time, shedding members and accruing more, always evolving musically with each album: from gypsy jazz to psychedelic cabaret; ballroom waltzes to epic space disco; bossa supernova to uneasy listening.

The story of Peter Cat Recording Co. has unfolded across multiple continents, a cast of creators and perhaps more than anything, an unwavering vision to be that band from India that will challenge just what music from the region can be. In expanding their listener base to North America, Europe and more, they have succeeded in broadening their audience and reformatting expectations, all while acting as an incubator of sorts for a rich palette of solo projects, a distinct visual language, and perhaps more than anything, a canonical reference point to both Indian and international fans alike: there is tremendous value in persistence and not pandering to the expectations of others.
That was such an epic concert they are such a great band
It would've been good to know when the band would start. They started an hour and a half after doors opened. Ticket showed the show started at 7:30, which it didn't. It would've been nice to have more time to get food prior to the show. Other than that, the show was amazing. Lights were a bit odd but overall good.
Such a talented group of musicians! Loved all the instruments used and happy they were all present at the show too. Thank yall for coming to Dallas!
House of Blues was a really nice venue, Peter Cat Recording Co. was the best concert I've ever been to.
We really enjoyed Peter Cat. Great blend of voice and instruments, and nice variety of music. Seemed to be a blend of Sting-like and Floyd-like music, but original. Great venue.
An incredible, surreal, and immersive concert. Loved seeing them up close at the 930 Club. PCRC is truly a one of a kind band!! Fan for life over here
PCRC was everything I expected and more. This show took you on a trip and made me smile, tear up, dance and feel a flight of emotions with each song they played. This band is known as "genre-less"and it really was that type of show. A complete vibe-switch with every new song but the band was confident in the music they were sharing. A wonderful mix of old and new tracks. Our front man held it downnnn and his talented band was given opportunities to shine as well. This is a top 5 show for me and I cannot wait to see them again.
Peter Cat absolutely crushed it. It was my first seeing them and I will definitely see them again next time their in Philly!
Peter Cat was great but the venue could have done a better job with lighting and sound. The show was way too loud and the vocals muddy and overshadowed by the other instruments, particularly the drums. The sound should have been definitely been better balanced. The lighting was distracting at times and overwhelmed the band and audience. At times the strobe lights shined directly in our faces and for far too long. The venue did a great job with security and basically everything else. The staff was friendly and efficient.
PCRC is one of my favorite bands. I had seen them a year before in Brighton, and that event was hands down the best concert I had ever seen. This time around, not so much. The singer’s voice was drowned out by the other instruments, that I think were way too loud and noisy. I wish there were more songs from previous albums, but I also understand that the new album needs to be promoted more. Same as the year before, the band also started at 8:45 when doors opened at 7, which I get but I wasn’t so annoyed last year because it was such a spectacular performance. Lastly, I actually wish the singer didn’t go up in tone for most of the lyrics. What I love about the studio album recordings is that the singer’s voice goes up and down a lot, and feels playful. I understand the singer was improvising more but it actually made the songs more monotone.
