Oregon Ducks Women's Basketball History
The University of Oregon Ducks women’s basketball program dates back to the late 19th century, but the varsity team formed ahead of the 1973–74 season. The Ducks qualified for the inaugural NCAA Women’s March Madness tournament in 1982 and have made 17 appearances in total, including a streak of eight consecutive berths between 1994 and 2001. Kelly Graves became head coach in 2014 and led the team on a run of sustained dominance with a core lineup that featured future WNBA players Sabrina Ionescu, Satou Sabally, Ruthy Hebard and Nyara Sabally. Under Graves, the Ducks advanced to the Elite Eight in 2017 and 2018 and the Final Four in 2019, while also securing three regular season conference championships and two conference tournament titles. In 2024, Oregon will move to the Big Ten Conference.?
