Overall this was a fine experience. I am of the opinion that the Bruckner Te Deum should not follow the 9th. The 9th is a very spiritual work and more than any other Bruckner symphony reflects Bruckner's sometimes violent relationship with God. The coda is, in my opinion, a resolution of this relationship - God and Bruckner are finally at peace with one another. Stuzman did a marvelous job with the violent portions of the symphony. She let the orchestra play to its fullest. There were some inconsistencies in the violins - the fast notes were often inaccurate - but the brass were superb - as they needed to be. I haven't heard the orchestra for many years during my absence from Atlanta so I didn't know what to expect. I was not disappointed, except for the coda in the third movement. With a few year's experience and some musical maturity, I think Stutzman will be a fine Bruckner conductor.

Nathalie Stutzmann is an absolutely amazing conductor and it is just as amazing to watch her as it is to listen to the music she elicits from the ASU - which is a top-notch orchestra. The piano soloist was amazing, and Ravel’s Boleto was the cherry on the top of a wonderful experience.

My first trip to the Atlanta Symphony in several years. Bolero on the program got me there, but the other three works reminded me that the symphony doesn't have to play only recognizable pieces to be enjoyed. The piano soloist was spectacular. This was the first time I had seen and heard Ravel's Bolero performed live. That performance was beyond words and one I will always treasure. Nathalie Stutzmann does amazing work, both as a conductor and music director, choosing and conducting a wonderful assortment of pieces. And one last thing - please do Bolero again within the next few years. It is a piece that must be appreciated live. It is one of the few that a recording, regardless of how well it is done, cannot do it justice.

The opening Tannhauser was so beautiful I was in tears. The stunning Bartok was a great way to go out! Watching Nathalie thrills me. She connects with the players and the audience. She's so passionate!

Great concert, but bolero was the best part, can wait for the next season

The ASO musicians were awe inspiring and the violin soloist was unbelievable. We could hear very well from our seats in the balcony. Next time, we will plan for dinner better bc there’s not much available at the arts center although the 1280 bar was open and we enjoyed a snack there. The only downside was that someone’s phone alarm went off during Beethoven!! They also let a couple people find their seats after the music had started which was very distracting. But the ASO performed beautifully.

Stunning orchestra, choirs, soloists, and directorship by Natalie. This performance was unforgettable in watching how everything was seamless and synchronized in one big beautiful harmony. This event displayed the magical art of music.

A stunning performance. It was fascinating to watch Nathalie's warm and encouraging conducting style. The singers and musicians were all first rate and then some. I was greatly moved by the entire event.

I attended the Saturday, 1 April, performance of Bach's Saint Matthew Passion by the ASO and the Atlanta Chorus. Stutzmann was able to draw the emotion represented in the text (what Jesus experienced on Good Friday) and have the ASO and Chorus clearly communicate that emotion. There were several points during their performance when one could have heard the proverbial pin drop: those moments were quite moving and raw. My sense was that Stutzmann got attendees to experience and feel what Bach wanted the first audience (or congregation) to hear Saint Matthew Passion. Judging from other attendees' very long applause at the conclusion of this performance, they too were moved by this performance. Well done, Nathalie Stutzmann!

Thanks to every person on stage that made the Passion of St. Andrew an unforgettable experience! It was absolutely STUNNING! ASO and choir with every solist.. you were all amazing. And the director, the BEST! Bless you ALL this Easter.. SUPER abundantly, you made it the best one ever!

The performance was magnificent. We hadn’t seen her conduct before and she is very expressive. She communicates with the orchestra very effectively and the sound quality she produces is terrific. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening.

It was the perfect concert. The audience was enchanted and enthusiastic from beginning to end. It was amazing how the program showcased the talents of the orchestra musicians themselves without bringing in a soloist from elsewhere. One could feel the joy the conductor and orchestra had performing all the way through.

Musicians and conductor were all great but i somehow rcpected more. More robust sound, more musicians, more sometging. But alas I'm a novice in this area and my expectations may have been too high. Ladtly, the ambient temperature (in the Dress Circlw) was extremely warm, making the time spent at the symphony quite uncomfortable.

Extraordinary. Two great compositions exquisitely performed with wonderful interpretative twists.

The concert was very satisfying. Both the conductor & the orchestra pretty flawless. A person sitting next to me had jeans with holes, disgusting. I don’t think I will be back unless you have a dress code.

The cellist was amazing! The orchestra was fantastic. Can’t wait to go again.
