LISA LOEB IN CONCERT:
?
Two decades ago Lisa Loeb became the first unsigned artist to top the pop charts when her 1994 debut single "Stay (I Missed You) defied all expectations and hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. Today the bewitching, bespectacled singer-songwriter remains just as full of surprises, juggling careers as a children's music artist, a reality TV personality, a Food Network host, and -- of course -- a beloved musical performer. Loeb's ninth album No Fairy Tale was a confessional collection of finely crafted songs that reminded fans just why she hit it big in the '90s, and her live shows on tour continue to prove her mettle as a performer. From the vulnerable appeal of her debut smash to empowering torch songs like "I Do", Loeb always treats fans to personality, wit, and heartfelt emotion to spare on her must-see tours.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Maryland-born, Texas-raised Lisa Loeb studied piano during her childhood before switching to guitar in her teens. She started performing while attending Rhode Island's Brown University, where she formed the short-lived group Liz and Lisa with her friend Elizabeth Mitchell and guitarist Duncan Sheik. By the early ‘90s Loeb was making a name for herself on the NYC coffeehouse circuit with her solo acoustic performances. Her involvement in the local arts scene led to a friendship with actor Ethan Hawke, and in 1994 her song "Stay (I Missed You)" was featured in the Hawke-starring film Reality Bites. The song was an overnight sensation, topping the Hot 100 and receiving a Grammy nomination for Best Pop Performance. Loeb followed up in 2005 with her first album Tails, an auspicious debut that landed three singles on the charts including “Do You Sleep” and “Waiting for Wednesday”. Since then she has regularly released albums while also launching her own eyewear line, appearing on a reality TV series about her life, and releasing several children’s books. Despite her busy schedule, the ever-prolific Loeb still makes time for her first creative loves – writing and performing music.
My husband and I had a great time at the show. Lisa interacted with the crowd and made the evening very enjoyable.
Lisa was as generous and giving as any entertainer could be. She spent a lot of time speaking with people. The show itself was entertaining and informative. She told stories, asked for requests, she was engaged, and appeared as if she was enjoying herself. I can't recommend her music and shows enough. I can't wait for her to come back to Denver again! Thank you, Lisa.
I had meet and great. Lisa is Very nice and polite. Got my pic with her. She signed for me. She played for two hours. Great show. Highly recommend to see her in concert.
nice small setting and Lisa was awesome! She even signed autographs afterwards!
I saw her in Cleveland and it was well worth it. Her personality draws you in and she has some funny comments throughout the show. Time hasn’t changed her sound so it was exactly what I was hoping for. I will most certainly go again whenever she makes it back this way.
was too expensive for 30 min for 3 original songs and the rest was what you hear in every singalong
I was introduced to Lisa Loeb's music during my college years of the mid-90's and loved playing her as a DJ at my college radio station. Always wanted to see here LIVE but never was able to catch here when she was nearby NC. When I saw here performing in NC back in Feb. I purchased a pair of tickets immediately, not even knowing at the time who I would be taking to the show. Lisa did not disappoint. Fantastic show in a nice historic theater. I hope to have the opportunity to see here again in the future.
Lisa's performance was a wonderful mix of old and new. She sounded fantastic and engaged with the audience in a fun and friendly manner. We were thrilled to be able to meet her after the show where she was signing CDs, books and posing for pictures. I should also add that the experience was like having her play in your living room for a few of your closest friends. :)
Extraordinary performance. Lisa is a very personable performer and easily engages the audience to make them feel as though she is playing in front of a coffee house group.
Lisa is a multi-talented performer. Her vocals are spot on and pitch perfect. Her stage presence makes the audience feel at home. She told us about someone earlier in the day who tried to sell her a ticket to her own concert. The venue is small and intimate. Lisa found it strange that she could hear her own foot tapping as she played. Upon request (someone blurted out "Free Bird!") she played a few bars of the beginning of the Lynard Skynard song. She takes requests from social media before the show. The request from our table to play "Disappointing Pancake" was fulfilled. Yeah. After the show, Lisa greeted fans and signed merchandise as she does for most appearances. Opening Acts: Danielle gave a spectacular rendition of Sara Bareilles' "Brave". Her vocals seem well suited to that song. Sayed sings a bluesy rock style with vocals similar to Janis Joplin. Vince White on guitar and Vince Trividad on stand-up bass provided an amazing acoustic performance
