Krooked Kings on Tour
The Krooked Kings are crooners of genuine and relatable indie-rock gems. Their record label bio describes them as "the love child of Mac DeMarco & Snow Patrol."
They released their first EP, Krooked Kings, in 2019, featuring the single "Amsterdam."
Their music got the attention of Los Angeles-based indie label Nobody Gets It Records, and they signed the band in 2020. They released their breakout single, "'96 Subaru," in early 2020, which now has more than 3 million streams. They gained more traction with 2021's EP, Bird Scooter, featuring the hit single of the same name. They also released their first full-length album, The Comedown, in 2021.
In 2022, Krooked Kings collaborated with the indie project known as Day Wave on "Carbon Monoxide," a song that examines the effects of climate change on the younger generation.
In an interview with 45sand40s.com, Oli Martin said, "I'd like to think that our music is lyrically just honest, and nothing is held back. It's not necessarily glammy. It's not pop. It's not like everything is going awesome all the time. Life's real, you know? Sometimes there's ups and downs, and I think being able to write about all of it is important." Hear the sweet sounds of life's ups and downs and get tickets to see Krooked Kings when they come to a city near you.
Krooked Kings Live in Concert
Made up of five college friends from the University of Utah, the Krooked Kings are Paul Colgan (lead guitar), Oli Martin (guitar, vocals), Matt Monson (bass), Dave Macey (keyboard), and Quinn Casper (drums). The Utah natives currently live in Salt Lake City. You'll find them on the slopes or biking down a mountain when they're not on the road.
Colgan, a founder of the band, got his start in music when "Guitar Hero III" came out. His parents had been insisting on piano lessons, but the game inspired him to pick up the guitar. His cofounder, Martin took up guitar after hearing Bon Iver's "Holocene."
Inspiration also comes from bands like The Grateful Dead and Led Zeppelin, but as a whole, the band are huge fans of Peach Pit.

I loved the intimacy of the show. I love Krooked Kings and they put on a great show. Night cap is amazing as well!
so good they’re energy was amazing. There was a problem with the sound and they made the audience stay engaged by playing stuff and talking just being people. So excited to see where they go.
