KENNY WAYNE SHEPHERD IN CONCERT:
Guitar god Kenny Wayne Shepherd is one of the fiercest young axmen of his generation, and he continues to blow audiences away every time he takes the stage. The self-taught virtuoso is a sight to behold in concert, where his furious fingers and flailing blonde locks serve as the perfect counterpoint to the precision and ease of his razor-sharp riffs. Whether he's playing bluesy originals from 2014's Goin' Home or covering legends like Bob Dylan and Jimi Hendrix, Shepherd always treats fans to electrifying performances that are as heavy on pure gusto as they are on musical chops.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Shreveport, Louisiana-born Kenny Wayne Shepherd got his first guitar in early childhood and began learning the instrument with a unique self-taught method. He was quickly recognized as a guitar prodigy, and at age 13 he was invited to play on stage with blues icon Bryan Lee. His first performance at the Red River Revel Arts Festival in Shreveport attracted the eye of label execs, and before long Shepherd had signed a multiple record deal with Giant Records. His 1995 debut album Leadbetter Heights topped the blues chart, a feat he repeated with five subsequent albums including his 1997 sophomore album Trouble Is... -- the longest-running album on the Billboard Blues Chart in history.? In 2014 Shepherd released his seventh studio album Goin' Home, another chart-topper that has fans eagerly awaiting his next must-see series of tour dates.
FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

This was my 1st time seeing Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band live although I've been a fan for years! This was also my 1st visit to Brown County Music Center, someone did their homework when they built this venue! Great Sound! I Will Be Back!
We’ve seen KWS Band 4 times. This most recent concert at the Brown County Music Center was, by far, the best. We loved the addition of the horns as it enhanced the sound of the rest of the band. Each musician in the band is so talented. And, we always love Noah Hunt! What a voice! Kenny was more talkative and warmed up the crowd immensely. His guitar playing, while always amazing, was absolutely outstanding. And I can’t say enough about his solo - “While We Cry.” The lineup was well put-together with a great mix of old and new. Before they came on stage, they played KWS Band music so sitting and waiting was fun too. It was the best concert we’ve seen in awhile and we are already looking forward to another tour when their new album is released.
We have seen the KWS Band several times and they always put on a great show! I love that they play at smaller venues. Always a good time!!
I was totally blown away by the KWS band. I have been listening to him for years and have always wanted to see him live. I'm so glad that I was finally able to because listening doesn't compare to being there. I will be anxiously awaiting for the bands return to Brown County Music Center. The venue is great with comfortable seating not a bad seat in the house. I loved the way the band interacted with the audience. Can't wait for next time!
A most entertaining evening with family, in a great facility. As for K.W.S I have been a fan since his first and hope to see more, It was a great show. I look forward to KebMo down the road.
First off, first time the Brown County Music Center. Great venue for this type of show. Our group was in the balcony and they were still really good seats. The show was terrific. I’ve seen KWS one other time when he opened up for Van Halen several years ago. He was very good that night, but that stage was for VH. This show was all his and he did not disappoint. The man knows how to play a guitar, actually many guitars, as evidenced by the numerous guitar changes during the show. He has surrounded himself with wonderful musicians and a singer as well. I was surprised by how many songs he sang himself. He has a great voice for the type of music he plays. I know our group was very satisfied with the show. I will definitely return to BCMC for future shows, and it looks like some great ones are coming up.
Thoroughly enjoyed the Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band! He is high energy and his skills are extraordinary! Also enjoyed the addition of the sax and trumpet! Great night!
Loved the show, and all the band members were equally good. But Kenny Wayne was GREAT!
Easy getting in and loved the entertainment. Grabbed a bite to eat with our friends at the Hard Truth prior to the show. Just an awesome night out.
