My daughter and I enjoyed the show very much. We were at the Uptown and loved the theater and the music.
I have probably seen this movie hundreds of times since it came out when I was a kid. This was an entirely heightened experience! You could tell the musicians were just having the best time, and they were all super talented performers. It was truly incredible!
Totally loved this. My favorite movie with extremely talented musicians playing the soundtrack live. My only complaint is that I wish there had been more light on the musicians so the audience could see them better.
The music was excellent and the venue great. However, the show decided that strobe flash lights would add something. Instead, it made parts of the film unwatchable as bright lights shone directly in our faces in a dark theater making it impossible to see. At one point, they did yellow "candle lights"- missed the entire scene due to those high beaming us in the face. Lights were great when they used them to highlight the players doing solos. Lights were horrible when they were trying to use them as immersion effects.
What a wonderful way to watch one of the greatest movies. The band was flawless and the live music seemed to bring it to life.
From venue to jam session during film credits, this show was spectacular! Of course Labyrinth is a gem in its own right, but to add live music, and not just live music but a talented and enthusiastic band that pumped us up and genuinely enjoyed their job, made this nostalgic film, that, for me, is brimming with positive feelings and quality memories of my dad, an experience of a lifetime! To rewatch my most favorite movie in concert, was like being an excited child again. To relive this film in such a way with my husband and son, was a dream come true. I am grateful for the chance to see Labyrinth In Concert, and to all who love this film I highly recommend this version of it!
The concert was everything I hoped for! They isolated David Bowie's vocals and didn't try to replace them. The band was wonderful (special shout out to the awesome sax solo) and the lighting really added to the atmosphere. If they come back, and I hope they will, I'll be there!
I enjoyed the movie, but the flashing lights were annoying and blinding at times. I would not recommend this event. The musicians were great, but the venue was uncomfortable.
Love the movie and the live music but the screen was way too small for this event
I was expecting way more for the money I spent on the tickets. The movie with sound was neat, but the lights were not all that. Plus sometimes they blinded me with the yellow lights. The music was ok but I was expecting more. It was basically watching the movie with some light and sound effects.
