Indiana Fever History
The Indiana Fever are a professional basketball team in the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). After joining the league in 2000, the Fever qualified for their first postseason in 2002 and reached their first Finals in 2009. The Fever secured their first WNBA championship in 2012 behind a Finals MVP performance by 2011 WNBA MVP, five-time Defensive Player of the Year and 12-time All-Defensive Team selection Tamika Catchings. In 2015, the Fever appeared in their third Finals but fell to the Minnesota Lynx in a 3–2 series. Between 2023 and 2024, the Indiana Fever ushered in a new era with back-to-back No. 1 draft picks Aliyah Boston and Caitlin Clark.

Indiana Fever at Gainbridge Fieldhouse
Gainbridge Fieldhouse is the downtown Indianapolis indoor arena that has been home to the Indiana Fever since 2000. Opened formally in 1999, the 17,923-seat facility has hosted the team almost consistently for over two decades, aside from breaks for renovations between 2020 and 2022. Gainbridge Fieldhouse has hosted three separate WNBA Finals matchups, in 2009, 2012 and 2015. At home games, fans can get their cheers up with help from Indiana Fever mascot Freddy Fever.??
