My tenth time seeing HWM, and they still have it. Chris Cresswell does an amazing job with Hot Water Music and is a perfect addition to the band. Check out his main band The Flatliners if you haven't heard them. Also spectacular. Tim Barry and Quicksand were also incredible, and the closing with an Avail song was the highlight for me. Go see each and every one of these artists when they roll through town.
Instead of Chuck’s unique style and voice, which we’ve come to love for the last 30 years, we got an hour or uninspired microphone screaming from a different singer.
Had a great time watching Hot Water Music. I cannot recall when I saw them previously (def once) but regardless - solid time to hang with like-minded music fans. Great outing. Some aggro dudes showing their lameness in the pit but whatever - didn’t ruin the music.
Hot Water Music, Quicksand and Tim Barry put on one hell of a show. They are a group of humble guys who clearly love what they do. The end of the concert with Tim Barry joining Hot Water Music for a cover of an Avail song was a really cool surprise. Great show!!!
Masquerade continues its legendary presence as the premier loud rock venue just about anywhere. Opening acts were given as much sound attention as headliner.
Sound was absolutely trash cool idea for the area but when it sounds better outside that's a problem
This was only my 2nd time seeing Hot Water Music, and the last was in small venue in NJ (shout out Crossroads in Garwood, NJ) and seeing them in a bigger venue, and it was also my first time at this newly renovated Brooklyn Paramount was something special, it was nice to seem them upscaled and playing a really nice setlist that covered their whole 30 year career. The openers we're all great as well, from Be Well, The Ergs, Modern Life is War & the NYC legends Quicksand, which are always a great band to see live.
This was one of my all-time favorite concerts! I flew in from Miami for the day just to go to this show, and I was not disappointed. The venue, the line-up, the VIP upgrades, and of course the music itself were all off the charts amazing!
Didn’t stay for Hot Water Music. Came for Quicksand and they slayed. Beautiful beautiful venue. Plan on returning for bands I like
