Have seen it once on Broadway and twice before at Pantages with different casts. This production opened with great energy but missed some marks as it went along. I Wanted to love it but wished some of the songs could have been heard better. Music felt too loud over the singers at points. Appreciate the individuality and special touches and instincts from the actors but I wanted more juice from Jefferson performance. I do think a first time audience member should become familiar with the soundtrack so they can follow the fast rapping. Overall, great job and I hope it comes back in a couple of years cuz we’ll be back.
I always love each touring version I see. I just wish they would give people more of a chance ti get out of the bathroom at intermission!
I’ve seen Hamilton live 3 times, and this is the first time I’ve seen it and left so emotionally connected to the production. I had a Hamilton hangover for days! The performances from each actor was delivered to perfection! Don’t get me wrong, Hamilton is fabulous regardless, but I really connected to the performances at this show. Bravo to the Sunday matinee cast and crew!! ????
Have seen Hamilton 5 times. Wish they would start on time and not 10 minutes late; that's just plain rude. The closing scene with Eliza is VERY important. Unfortunately, the actress did not enunciate so half of what she said could not be understood (and I already knew the liens), thus losing Eliza's story, which to me, is half the play. We had an understudy playing Hamilton and he did very well. Was not fond of how the parts of Lafayette/Jefferson were played. He had all the words and motions and got the laughs, but overall, just was not believable. The part of Maria Reynolds was played and sung to perfection! The production was good, but we have seen it done much better, maybe setting our expectations too high. Everyone needs to enunciate their lines much more clearly.
What a great show! It was an amazing performance! We’ve been watching the Hamilton musical over and over on Disney plus over the past 4 years and we didn’t know what to expect without the original cast. Well, the show didn’t disappoint, we loved it as much as the original!!!
Such a great musical. You learn about history while singing wonderful songs.
It was fun, entertaining and educational!!! We had an extremely great time! We were sitting on the edge of our seats. We laughed and we cried. Also special accolades to the sign language crew at the 2pm showing October 5th. I do not know sign language but I watched them 50% of the show. Great job!!!
I have been waiting to see this play since 2017 and I was finally able to see it on 10/05/24, SEVEN years later and it did not disappoint. I have watched the Broadway show on Disney+ but to see if in person, WOW! There are still a few more shows available before they leave and I am considering catching a matinee. Lin Miranda is an absolute genius. He is the next Shakespeare for our time. If you have not seen Hamilton and on the fence of going, go. In fact, GO to the next show while there is still time.
It was everything my 9 year old daughter & I had hoped it would be! Loved it from beginning to end! My daughter absolutely loves Hamilton and was not disappointed! This was her second time & my first. Can’t wait to see it again!!!
