Hamilton Tiger-Cats History
The Hamilton Tiger-Cats are a professional Canadian football team that were founded in 1869 as the Hamilton Football Club. After adopting the Tigers name, the team merged with the Hamilton Wildcats in 1950 and won their first Grey Cup as the Tiger-Cats in 1953. Collectively, the two Hamilton-based teams have earned 15 championships, with the Tiger-Cats claiming the trophy eight times across 22 appearances. The team has also claimed 23 regular season titles in the CFL’s East Division and fielded four Most Outstanding Player Award recipients and five Most Outstanding Rookie Award winners. Between 2019 and 2021, the Hamilton Tiger-Cats appeared in back-to-back Grey Cup championship games against West Division rivals the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.

Hamilton Tiger-Cats at Tim Hortons Field
Tim Hortons Field has been the home of the Hamilton Tiger-Cats since 2014. Built on the site of the long-standing Ivor Wynne Stadium, Tim Hortons Field was built for the 2015 Pan American Games and has become a vibrant hub for CFL action. At “The Donut Box,” Ticat fans can be heard cheering along with team mascots Stripes and T.C. and sounding off the longtime ??"Oskee Wee Wee" chant led by Pigskin Pete. The 23,218-seat multi-purpose stadium has hosted two Grey Cup championship games, including the 2021 matchup between the Tiger-Cats and Winnipeg Blue Bombers. In 2023, the capacity record for the stadium was set at 28,808 during the 110th Grey Cup game.

It was my first football game I ever went to and everything about it was great. From the Hamilton fans to the sunshine, it was an enjoyable experience for sure! I hope to see others in the future. OSS kee wee wee!!!
Everything went smoothly with Ticketmaster tickets. They were added to my Google Wallet seamlessly. Entry into the stadium was simple and no issues arose with tickets. My only complaint would be is with Tom Horton's Field itself. It was not displayed anywhere or stated by any Tim Horton's Field staff member that once you enter the stadium you cannot leave. I left the stadium at half time and was denied re-entry by staff and security at the gate that I exited. They watched me leave and I returned about 5 minutes later and an argument ensued regarding re-entry. Needless to say this was very disappointing. After much argument I finally was able to re-nter the stadium at a different gate. So, for anyone who is going to a game in the future be aware that the stadium has created a rule that persons cannot leave the stadium for any reason whatsoever and re-enter. I would have been terribly disappointed if my expensive lower level 7th row seats only allowed me to watch half of the football game. Otherwise, the experience was great and the Ti-Cats got their first won of the season.
I was at the Riders vs Ti-Cats game at Tim Hortons Field in Hamilton. What a great time! I should say that I do not live in the area in fact I am an hour and a half away however, I do pop down for a game or two each year. It's a great venue and the fans are the best in the East. To be clear I am a Rider fan but when they aren't visiting I still go to games in Hamilton. You cannot have a good rime there.

My family and I got tickets on a whim while vacationing for a few days in the area. Truly an amazing experience. Very kid and adult friendly in and around the stadium. Everyone was super friendly and the experience was just phenomenal. I highly recommend. Go Cats! Eat ‘em Raw!!!!
Great field and stands the prices are high but I would definitely go back
We have gone to two games this season as my daughter really enjoys it! There was tons of excitement and even fire works!! We had a great time and look forward to the next game!
Good wether. Good time with friends and family. Nice to mix it up with the Hamilton spectators. Haven't been in a while. Its always nice to get out and mix it up.
Great stadium to watch a game from. We were in the last row and the view was fantastic. The stadium was pretty clean considering 25000 fans were there. The big screen tvs were awesome for replays. The whole atmosphere was party time. The fans were great.
