GEL is a hardcore punk band from New Jersey. A side project of the powerviolence act Sick Shit since 2018, the band’s original lineup consisted of vocalist Sami Kaiser, guitarists Anthony Webster and Maddi Nave, bassist Bobko and drummer Zach Miller. In 2023, GEL unveiled their debut album Only Constant, though following its release, Miller exited the band and was replaced by new drummer Alex Salter. GEL also has two EPs — GEL (2018) and Violent Closure (2021) — as well as HC for the Freaks, a 2019 promo tape, and Shock Therapy, a 2022 split mini-album with noise bunk band Cold Brats, in their growing discography.?

Amazing bands thrashing through their sets in a sub 400 seat venue... It doesn't get much better than that. The Duck Room is such a unique and intimate venue. The show was great, openers were awesome and it was cool to discover new bands in the same realm of the genre. The show felt a bit rushed though since the venue seemed very strict on the set times. MS Paint and Gel came on and didn’t have time to interact with the crowd or have a proper send off from the stage with a greeting as bands usually do. Felt like they just got on stage, played their songs and got off the stage. It was a good show though don’t get me wrong, but maybe the timing of the show and sets could have been better organized.
Atlantis was the worst wheelchair venue I’ve ever been to and I’ve been to a lot.
Really good show, lots of energy. 2 bands done in 75 mins.
