Rating: 3 out of 5AMAZING Band, and incredible sound, terrible viewing
by The Peaceful Pirate on 3/22/22South Shore Room at Harrah's Lake Tahoe - StatelineIt's always interesting going to see a band that you want to dance your *ss off to but the entire venue is seated. The seats are portable chairs. The stage is considerably low. The seats are not on a gradual incline like a movie theater and even the different "tiers" are only a foot higher? I sat in section D, maybe 20 rows back from the stage on the second "tier". People showed up late and periodically would go and get drinks (which is totally normal). However ANYONE that stood up in front of us (while seated) blocked our view of the stage. Once any row in front of us stood up we all had to stand up. On top of awkwardly dancing around our surrounding chairs, we had 3 slightly taller people in front of us about 5 rows up (I'm 5'10") In normal general admission shows, you just move around and go somewhere else where you can see the stage better. Having assigned seats is laaaaammmmeeee when anyone standing up in front of you blocks your view of the stage for the entire evening. Having a "general admission" section in the front of the venue wouldn't solve this issue either because like I said, that general admission floor would block the view for the rest of the venue. The South Shore Room needs to be updated. They just celebrated 50 years of entertainment and I'm pretty sure that's the last time it was updated
