I had never been to the Capital One Hall before and I am glad we drove from WV to see this show! Loved every song. Symphony was outstanding and Michael Cavanaugh was a superb showman!
The orchestra was an added bonus to the Billy Joel performance.
It was definitely a 5+ in my opinion. Venue and performance were both great.

After two concerts this is still my fav in NVA Just love this place and the pricing is reasonable Only question is why do they have the large plastic casing on stage during the performance?
This was billed as a performance of Billy Joel's "Movin' Out"musical without the dancing, dialog, etc. What we heard was about 2/3 songs from Movin' Out and 1/3 instrumental pieces recently written by Joel, one piece by the singer, and a couple of songs by Jerry Lee Lewis. The singer and the band and orchestra were great. However, I felt misled and would not have paid as much as I did if I had known this is what the concert would include. I think it's false advertising.

Michael Cavanaugh is incredibly talented, and he did an amazing job singing Billy Joel's greatest hits. I swear if you closed your eyes, you would have thought it was Billy Joel himself. His band, and the Fairfax Symphony Orchestra, did a great job accompanying Michael Cavanaugh who sang and played the piano (and showed his talents on the saxophone, guitar, and harmonica as well!). Plus, Capital One Hall in the heart of Tysons Corner is beautiful and just the right size as a venue for performances like this. Parking was easy in a nearby garage, and it was great to be able to see a quality performance without dealing with the traffic and hassle of going into DC.
Enjoyed the performances by all members. Second time seeing the FSO with an artist and it was wonderful again.
Loved the Beatles 60th anniversary concert! Great performers and symphony accompaniment added great sound.
