Elevation Worship in Concert
Blending styles of rock, EDM, Christian pop, and traditional worship, Elevation Worship has become one of the most beloved groups of their kind in contemporary music. Based in 2007 out of Elevation Church in Charlotte, North Carolina, the band leads worship in church on weekends and also plays concerts across the U.S. Prior to having a deal in place, Elevation Worship released four albums including their 2010 breakthrough ‘Kingdom Come,' which would reach No. 5 on the U.S. Heatseekers Albums and No. 17 on the U.S. Christian Albums charts. After the levee of recognition broke, the group signed to Essential Records and released live album ‘For the Honor' in 2011, which received acclaim from Christian music reviewers. Elevation Worship showcased not only that their anthemic tunes soared, but that the live setting is a natural habitat, showcasing true ability to command a crowd with memorable melodies and shimmering guitars. ‘For the Honor' also became their first album to chart on the U.S. Billboard 200, reaching No. 193., and reaching No. 1 on U.S. Heatseekers.?
‘Nothing Is Wasted,' another live record from 2013, would become the band's first No. 1 album on the U.S. Christian Albums chart, and would reach No. 41 on the U.S. Billboard 200, the band's highest ranking to date. As it turned out, their live albums — often recorded in front of crowds upwards of 16,000 people — were Elevation Worship's sweet spot. With their 2016 massive hit single "O Come to the Altar," the band made it to No. 2 on both the U.S. Christian and Christian Airplay singles charts on Billboard. The following year, Elevation Worship's ‘There Is a Cloud' was nominated for the Gospel Music Association's Dove Award in the Worship Album of the Year and Long Form Video of the Year categories. It was also nominated for Top Christian Album at the 2018 Billboard Music Awards.?
Elevation Worship was fantastic. I felt truly blessed to be there.
I give them a 10 out of 5! I have wanted, and tried to see them for awhile now! I expected them to be very good. They exceeded my expectations!,
On Aug. 4th we drove 5 hours and it was worth it. The BMO pavilion in Milwaukee is a great venue. What we wanted was a worship experience and we were not disappointed. Chris Brown and his team hit the ground running and never let up. It was obvious that they came to worship. We appreciate you guys. Thanks for a wonderful night that we won't soon forget.
You have not lived until you experience an Elevation Worship concert. So well done. Great progression of songs-all my favorites! Not only musically talented musicians and singers, but their faith was so uplifting. I loved being able to praise God with them and everyone in attendace. I can't wait to see them again!!
Elevation Worship was amazing. It was just a beautiful concert full of people worshipping the Lord. The setlist was awesome and the band was spectacular. Such showmanship but still giving it all to God. Would definitely see them again!
The band was excellent. The venue was too crowded, people crammed in too tight. It got so hot and stuffy despite a nice breeze that my friend got sick and had to leave. >$6 for a warm bottle of water??
Great view of the stage. No matter where you sat Parking was not a problem. I go there again.
The concert was amazing. The passion and electricity from their concert was amazing!
I love Elevation Worship!!! I try to attend whenever they are in the region. However no assigned seating or “area” was a huge distraction. People moved in front of me, it was hard to see, and you were just packed in. I was rather close to the stairs which meant there was a lot of shifting behind me and you had to move forward right into the person in front of you. If you are claustrophobic or don’t like to be smushed into a small venue with a lot of people, I would use caution. With that said, I would highly recommend Elevation Worship but it was hard to have a truly enjoyable experience similar to other EW experiences. With that said I hope Elevation Worship comes back to Chicago at a larger venue. Surely this is proof you all can sell out in Chicago.
Very personable experience. The Worship Team smiles at you and really lifts your spirit?? My very FAVORITE song is When Wind Meets Fire!!! I can't WAIT to see them again??
